Can my baby turn breech at 37 weeks? HELP

Hey! I'm 2 days away from being 38 weeks and I just have a gut feeling baby has turned breech. Movements yesterday and day before have been really strong and I could see his whole body move and then today I have a really hard section of my bump under my right rib which I didn't feel before.... I don't know if that's now his head or if his bum can feel that hard up there! Panicking as it seems so close to Labour. Any advice or anyone been through similar?

Yeah they can - DD1 was head down at 36 weeks, then went breach, and ultimately transverse.

I’d definitely discuss it at MAU if you don’t have an appointment coming up.

If it’s reassuring - I had a c section which I found a fantastic way to give birth.

Yes, my daughter turned at 36 weeks - I thought I was in labour! She was ultimately oblique and I had an elective c section, which, like PP I found a very positive experience.

That hard bump is more likely to be their bum sticking out. But where are their feet as in where do you get kicks? Also if they have hick ups where is that? Low down suggests head down still 😃

I thought the same but DS was as he should have been..i was convinced he was breach!

It varies now re kicks - the bigger he's gotten it feels more like rolling/wriggling than actual kicking. Lying on my side in bed this morning I can feel movement low down on my left hand side. It's just really odd - I thought he had hiccups last night but the feeling was on my ride side below the big hard area. I'm just really hoping that's his bum & back and not his head!
