Hey everyone hoping to get some advice i havent been feeling right for a while which really floored me even more On the 7th of April i had a missed call from a midwife saying to call back then was advised that my iron was low on the 9th I called on the 10th to collect furrueous furmate 305mg after collecting I felt extremely light headed,my vision went blurry, had ringing in my ears and had to put myself to the floor in the middle of asda which has happened before but not to that extreme I called the assesment unit and she didn't seem fussed just to keep taking my iron tablets but spoke to another midwife today regarding another issue and she went threw the roof she was really concerned at my blood work and told me to come straight to the hospital so I called assessment unit and she said the opposite just to keep taking my tablets I'm so confused!! Should I be worried ? My iron was 92 when I was last tested on the 21st

That is quite low but it's not good to over worry over it, try and relax.
Keep taking iron as well as iron rich foods, vitamin c helps iron absorption, and drinking tea can hinder absorption.
How much iron are you taking a day?

My levels were low in late pregnancy, though not quite as low as that. I gradually increased my intake to a bit higher than RDA and by my next blood test it had only slightly gone up. Some people do just struggle to absorb it.

Might be worth going back to your midwife though and asking if there's anything else that might help.

Found out another lady who is with same hospital was offered a iron infusion and her levels were the actually a little higher than mine 😭

Dilutional anaemia is common because your blood volume increases so much. But they can offer you an infusion at this stage. I think they try oral supplements first usually but will want it up before delivery. Is everything else ok, like your blood pressure?
