Can you request a sweep?

Hi all
I'm 38 weeks pregnant with my second baby , having a homebirth this time and just wondering If you can request a sweep at 38/39 weeks?

Locally they won't do them until 40 weeks including for homebirths. I know as I asked as well! It may be different in different areas but that is what they do here.

I managed to have one at 39 weeks but inky because baby measured large on growth scans and they were inducing me at 40 weeks anyway. Otherwise here it’s 40 weeks too where there are no complications x

I was given one at my 39 week appointment but wonder if it depends on trust

Mine is only given at 41 weeks.
