C section scar pain

Hi all, I'm currently 33 weeks pregnant with my second and my scar is starting to hurt more frequently. I told the dr yesterday when I saw her and she checked and thought it seemed ok. It's quite unpleasant though. Has anyone else experienced this?

I haven't but my midwife told me to get any scar pain checked out as there is a very small risk of your scar rupturing during pregnancy. I'd call up your midwife or triage and double check. If an obstetrician (rather than GP) has already checked it out and is happy then hopefully it's nothing to worry about.

See your midwife rather than GP please.

Thanks ladies. It was an obstetrics registrar at the hospital. I will monitor and will go into hospital if it gets worse.

Hi, congratulations on your pregnancy.
im nearly 12 months post c section and we are currently trying for baby number 2. Did you conceive quickly after section if you don’t mind me asking? I got pregnant really fast first time around and we’ve been trying for a few months now and I’m starting to panic I know we we’re so lucky the first time but I’ve been reading and have seen a lot about secondary infertility and other things due to c sections and now my mind is going crazy.

I hope you don’t mind me commenting under this post x

@anoushka1986 i would get it checked hun xx

@michealawoods
I had an ECS and am pregnant with my second baby, my first is 10 months old.
Before trying i really got back into my fitness again, it's like i got my body strong again for round 2 lol.
My friend also started going to the gym and fell pregnant, before that she'd been trying for ages. Once i started trying to concieve i stopped exercising but still ate really well.
Don't give up, it will happen xx

@Summer2424 thanks for the reply 😊
I was going to the gym my whole pregnancy and I’ve cut out the gym since having baby boy but I now do yoga and spin which is working into my routine. Im fairly active in general to walking everyday and lost all the baby weight + more and I have a well balanced diet I don’t restrict anything and nothing is off limits so I definitely think this all helps but I know I just need to chill. I’m a worrier and overthink things and when I got pregnant so fast the first time it’s makes me question why not this time and I’m fully aware every pregnancy is different but my mind just goes into overdrive 😂 I’m so grateful for my baby boy and it makes me angry that I’m worrying about having another because I just know how lucky I am but I just came help it either. X

@Michaelawoods sorry to hear you are stressing. I took a decent gap between, started trying when my son was 2. I got pregnant straight away, then miscarried, then got pregnant straight away then miscarried, then got pregnant straight away and now I have an 11 week old. So there was no problem getting pregnant and the drs said that the miscarriages were likely due to my age (I'm 36).

Good luck on your journey, hope it happens soon

@Anoushka1986 thanks for the reply 😊
really sorry to hear about your miscarriages.

ya I’m probably over thinking it because of getting pregnant so quickly the first time literally 1st month. Which I’m so grateful for.

I’m only 29 since March so I feel like I still have time hopefully so I need to relax about it and it will happen. I know loads of people who have had sections and went on to have more kids. I just went into overdrive and I shouldn’t have but I googled.
and I feel like my period is on the way so I was just going crazy really 😂 but thanks for sharing your journey. And best of luck with the new little arrival 😊❤️
