Feel like I’m always about to wet myself!

I’m 22 weeks with baby #2 but feel like unless I’ve JUST been to the toilet, if I go to walk anywhere I basically need to penguin walk to get to a toilet asap. I went for dinner last night, we were only there for an hour and I didn’t need to pee but when we went to walk to the car I literally got the panic of thinking I was about to wet myself. Blood ran cold and I couldn’t shuffle any quicker to get to the nearest toilet. It was like I had lost the ability to hold it. I managed to dash into a pub quickly but the same thing happened walking in to the hospital for a scan a few weeks ago. It’s like once the thought crosses my mind I tense up then although I most likely won’t, I feel like it’s going to happen any second 🤦🏼‍♀️ Has anyone else had the same? I’m guessing baby’s head is squashing my bladder already. I’ve got back up tena ladies but didn’t think I’d need them til nearer the end! 🙃

Have you been tested for a water infection?

Anothernewname13 · 10/04/2023 16:46

@BabyBabyBaby123 i get them a lot but it’s not that, there’s no pain or like urgency without warning, I just basically can’t walk anywhere unless I’ve been to the toilet 5 seconds before

I'm 24 weeks and feel the same, it feels like the baby is pressing against my bladder and like bouncing on it when I walk. This is my third and it has started happening to me from around 20 weeks each time, I just don't go anywhere that's too far away from a toilet and always go before I leave the house

If it's any consolation the urge stops as soon as the baby is out. Literally instantly

@K37529 i think I’ve learnt my lesson and I’m just going to have to play it ultra safe now and not let myself get too far away from a toilet! 😂 Last time im not sure when it started but it felt really near the end, I think this baby must be further down

I'm exactly the same. I'm fine sat down or lay down but if I'm stood up or walking I constantly feel like I need to go urgently even if I've just been.
It's put me off going for any walks or doing very much or anything. It's very frustrating!
