Size of a pear

Why does every pregnancy website compare the size of a fetus to fruit and veg? What is the size of a pear? They come in all sizes. I know it's such a petty thing, does anyone else have a petty pregnancy-related annoyance?

I actually like it saying relative to food as I can show my daughter and she loves having something that helps her visualise.

my one would be “look how big you are!!” Always said with such shock.

I find my midwife talking about my birth plan annoying. I was born 35 years ago, my birth plan has already happened! Yes, I realise this is pedantic but being annoyed at random things is getting me through the last few weeks of pregnancy 😂
