Cramping

Hi, I'm 5-6 weeks pregnant and have been experiencing really bad cramping. My HCG levels doubled within two days. Has anyone else had bad cramping and everything has been ok?

I pretty much felt like I was going to start my period until I was about 9 weeks so try not to worry too much (easier said than done I know!) 💕

I had bad cramping for the first few weeks and everything was fine. They said it was due to all the stretching in my uterus.

@thelma57 Thank you😊 it does help to hear other peoples story? Did you ever have any spotting as well? I did last week and then it stopped, but I git it again last night. It's very light and not much at all. I can't help but worry xx

I had some spotting too at about 6-8 weeks I think. It was pink at first and then brown for about a week. I went for an early scan cos I was worried and it was an implantation bleed making its way out (they could see the blood on the scan) it terrified me though!

I think generally bleeding can be quite common but not if it’s heavy, same with cramps but not if they’re really bad.

Make sure you mention it at your booking appointment and they might refer you for a scan (mine said she would have but we’d already got a private one done)

The early weeks are so scary and uncertain, so make sure you’re looking after yourself and keep talking to people 💕

Yes. My first pregnancy it was awful. I felt for sure I was having an ectopic. The pain was so extreme I’d feel sick.

@thelma57 Thank you very much for taking your time to reply to me. It's helped to reassure me. I had a scan last week at 5 weeks but they couldn't see anything because it's too early. I am going back next week for another scan. Hopefully they can see more then. I've suffered from cramps and the light bleeding so it is worrying, but my HCG levels have been doubling so I'm hoping that is a good sign. Thank you again ❤️
