Faint line at 7 weeks

Hi. So I really need some help or advice, I did a clearblue test about 2 weeks ago and found out I’m pregnant, really dark line yay. I am now around 7 weeks. Now I have always been convinced I can not have kids so the entire thing feels so surreal and I am paranoid so I have been continuing to do tests (I know it’s probably stupid) all of which have been positive. Today the test had a really faint line, I tested first thing in the morning after waking. I am so paranoid that I’ve lost the baby. I haven’t really been experiencing symptoms, small cramps here and there but nothing major, no bleeding. I haven’t had any sickness. Just the missed period and a positive test really. Why would the line be getting lighter? I thought they were meant to get darker over time 😞

the same thing is happening to me I should be 7 weeks too and read it’s called the hook effect you should Google it. It didn’t work for me but if you dilute ur urine with water it should show clear positive. It’s meant to be the further along you get the HCG is so high a pregnancy test gets confused hope this helps

Yeah I read about this. I guess that would make sense especially seeing as I did the test first thing so it must’ve been massively undiluted, but there’s still that part of me that isn’t convinced. Just wish the scan wasn’t 5 weeks away! Have you had a scan or appointment yet?

I have a second scan on Wednesday to confirm everything is ok. I had a bleed two weeks ago and have had 4 miscarriages so they got me in early to check and what I thought was 8 weeks and only measured 6 with no fetal pole so I was told to come back in two weeks and I kept testing because that’s the only thing keeping me going until it started getting lighter now I’ve made my worrying worse. If you have no bleeding you should be fine ♥️ can you phone and try and move your appointment? Just let them know your worried and would like checked x

thankyou so much for your advise it has made me a bit better. But yeah I get what you mean, taking them does feel like it’s the only confirmation and reassurance we have until someone tells us otherwise xx

Aww thank you 🙏🏻 ♥️ give ur doctor a phone and ask them to do an HCG check for you i’ve read on here loads of people have done that and it helped them if your numbers are going up then that’s a great sign but if you have a number for your midwife phone her and tell her about the tests she might get you in sooner sending you all the baby dust and luck in the world xx

I had the same thing just after 6 weeks. Booked a private scan at 8 weeks and everything was fine

I don't think these tests are very reliable after a while when there is too much HCG in your system. You're now quite far along so it doesn't necessarily means much. Can you book an early scan to put your mind at rest?

Hi, just wondering if anyone has experienced anything similar to this..
I found out I was pregnant just over 4 weeks ago, a few days after I started to bleed, fairly heavily for around a week. Didn’t really have any pain or large clots in the bleeding, it was just like a regular period.
3 weeks on I’m still testing positive, I’ve had odd bits of spotting during the 3 weeks but not much and looks like old blood (I would currently be around 8 weeks) the tests seem faint compared to my previous pregnancy at this point, haven’t really had a very dark line since I started testing this time. Is it likely I’m still pregnant or does the HCG just take a while go back to zero after miscarriage, attached pictures of the tests below
