guess the sex based on skull or nub 20 week scan

Hi all, so we had a scan at 20 weeks and to keep DH happy i kinda agreed to not knowing the sex of the baby. Trouble is, now i've come away from the scan i realise i prob would have liked to know. Curiousity has taken over and im just wondering if its possible to guess the gender based on similarities with other 20 week scans and the sex identified. Its all in good fun and either way i wouldnt know for sure so doubt any harm in asking others opinions based on comparisons. Look forward to your guess.🤪👍

There isn’t a nub at 20 weeks and you can’t see the genitals on this image. Skull shape has nothing to do with the baby’s sex, it’s nonsense.

I'm guessing a girl. That profile looks identical to my second and we had a girl.

Skull theory is definitely a thing albeit only 70-95% accurate but males have a lower more sloping forehead whereas females have a higher less sloping forehead. I would say boy by looking at this x

No idea, but what an amazing scan photo! I'm usually not overly bothered by scan pictures but the detail you can see there is amazing.

It's a 20 weeks scan, most of them look like this?

Oh ok, I don't remember mine being that detailed. Maybe I'm remembering the 12 weeks ones.

I knew of the skull theory but didnt know if it can be used on later scans. Also people have similiar scan pics which may correlate with mine therefore allowing them to hazard a guess. I think it would be nice to get some opinions and then hopefully i can come back and confirm. Might help someone else whose wide awake after 3am, all excited staring at their scan pic and wondering.

Nub theory is around the 12 week scan, skull theory is around the 20 week scan. I would guess girl.

Its a tough one as i am only just learning

myself but id say female. Apparently the nub pointing upwards is male and parallel is female. Only time will tell. Please update when you do find out 🥰
