So scared right now - 5 weeks pregnant and had an extremely stressful evening of hysterical crying and stress for about 2 hours after found out my step dad passed away... now I've just been for a wee after all this stress I have had this spotting.
I have spoken to my gynaecology ward as their epu shut until Tuesday and she said just to monitor it.
So I am just looking for stories - Has anyone had this spotting after they have been extremely worked up and stressed and all been fine?

Forget to say had a scan this morning to confirm pregnancy in right place and gestational sac and yolk sac was found in uterus so no risk of ectopic x

I'm sorry for the loss of your step dad Flowers I bled with all 3 of my dc. It was later discovered I had an eroded cervix which caused it most of the time. With ds who is my third I had a small bleed on the opposite side to where he was happily growing. It settled with time but the anxiety is huge.
My local hospital EPU wasn't great and I could never get hold of them so I went to the big hospital where you could self refer. Is there a bigger hospital near you that might have a similar service? Not that an early scan alters the course of things either way but I found out knowing one way or the other helped. I did have an early loss with my very first pregnancy-an anembryonic pregnancy and was so worried for each subsequent pregnancy. Here for a handhold if you want one Flowers

Cross posted there. Well that's positive and in my experience it might be the probe has irritated your cervix and caused a tiny bleed. They used to warn me that would likely happen.

I had implantation bleeding at 6ish weeks, looked a lot like that...... all was well, I've just chased the result into bed.....

Eatentoomanyroses · 06/04/2023 22:22

I wouldn’t call this spotting really. It’s hardly anything. Honestly I had what looked like a light period every month until three months pregnant with dd1 and dd2 I had heavy red bleeding. There’s a lot shifting around in there and baby bedding itself in. When you think about it it’s not really surprising that you see some of that when you wipe. No need to think the worst

Lyn29 · 06/04/2023 22:26

I had this and it was implantation bleeding but was so scared as I'd just had 2 miscarriages but 11 years later and my dd is laying next to me. It looks too light to me to be anything scary but obviously keep an eye if there is more.

Thank you all for your reassurance.
I know it's not fresh red blood but I was still panicking as it was straight after all the upset.
There was non there when I wiped this morning but after a wee there was a. trickle of it on the toilet.
Just can't believe my luck that all scanning places etc shut till Tuesday now 🤦🏽‍♀️🙏🏽🙏🏽

I had the same… actually probably more! This was about 7/8 weeks and Like you, I really panicked as day or so later, had it again. But my early scan at 10.4 weeks showed lovely heartbeat and a real wriggler! So hopefully settles your fears x

I can share a photo if helps? As much redder then yours ..

Yes.. mine was pinky, then this, then brown. Over a couple of days… but nothing since 🤞🏻And as I say, early scan few weeks later said all perfect and as should be.. try not to worry (though I try and doesn’t help- high anxiety after a mmc in Oct). Hope this helps a little - fingers crossed all good for you too.

Aww thank you that's really reassuring.
Sorry to hear about your last one :(
Congrats for this successful one :)
Yes exactly that's why I typed that like a mad person Thursday night as I am riddled with anxiety after ectopic last August :(
I know it's not ectopic this time as confirmed in right place but I am still scared of every little thing 🤦🏽‍♀️

I had bloody discharge at 6 weeks, not a lot, but a mix of brown, red and pink. Had it in very small amounts until 9 weeks. I'm now 31 weeks pregnant 🙂

When I had an early miscarriage/chemical pregnancy, the bleeding got heavier and redder very quickly, so it's positive its not got worse. Also implantation bleeding is often described as a 'rust' colour, which I think yours looks like.

Viviennemary · 09/04/2023 18:19

I got told the pinky browny discharge was usually ok but if it turned bright red that was a warning sign. But even then things are sometimes OK according to what I've read on here.

Dgu27 · 09/04/2023 18:19

I think we will just have to learn that to will probably find any little thing very worrisome this time. But just have to think we can’t control it… but hope for the best! I did find an early scan helped but tbh, I was back to worrying again literally a week later! Hopefully we can settle in a few months x

Lsg95 · 25/10/2023 17:30

Hey, what was the outcome for you please x

Hey, what was the outcome for you please x

The outcome is I'm now 34 weeks :))
It was just old implantation bleeding that went from pink to brown and then disappeared after 3 days.
Did you have something similar to my pic?
If so try not to worry most likely old implantation bleeding x
