Hi,

Can anyone please help me try to make sense of this? I went for an early scan today thinking I was 8 weeks but was told 5w5d. My lmp was 10th Feb but cycles have always been about 35+ days long and not sure about the conception date. I had a positive test on 12th March which doesn't seem to make sense if I'm only 5 weeks. I'm wondering if I maybe ovulated late or if they measured wrong? HB was detected and going back for another scan next week to make sure its developing.
any help would be greatly appreciated as I'm starting to feel very stressed, thanks.

@ThelastRolo20 I found the first one emotionally a lot harder. I passed the pregnancy naturally at 6 weeks but at the same time I had caught a real nasty stomach bug from my sisters brood which made it 10x worse. I didn’t eat for weeks and couldn’t keep anything in, very draining! Since I have been suffering with a bit of health anxiety which has made things worse. This loss was Oct and was our honeymoon baby!

Then we waited one period and tried the next and we fell pregnant again and I get we are lucky in that respect. Things seemed to be going well all the symptoms no concerns, then went for a private scan at what I thought was 8 weeks along to be told only 5. Then I instantly started bleeding in-between, like my body just knew. Went for another scan Friday and no progress, then this week the bleeding and pain has intensified and I’m back in for a scan tomorrow, however I know for sure this has resulted in a loss too. The pain this time around has been significantly worse!

I feel the same in regards to time lines too. Our first would’ve been due end of May. I’m going to be having some testing done as fortunately our hospital have now started doing this after 2 MC but our GP doesn’t so worth an ask? I’ve been told many trusts are doing this now.

after I get this week out the way, I’m going to start eating better, taking vitamins and exercising too! I turn 30 in a couple weeks, so I’m going to be enjoying this too! Xx

@GemPear sounds like we've had similar journeys ❤️ I'm 34 so a few years older - I hope you enjoy your 30th! That's something lovely to look forward to

@Skatrina33 wishing you all the best for tomorrow. I am attending my scan tomorrow to see if everything has gone as it should have. I’m sorry again for your loss and you are not alone! If you ever need to talk I am here x

sorry if tmi but was there alot of bleeding with the medical route

ThelastRolo20 · 25/01/2024 18:55

@Skatrina33 I'm 2 days past SM and it's like a normal period. I did have a heavier than normal night last night though, along with the sweats (to get rid of that lovely extra pregnancy water we retain I imagine!). But other than that it's not too bad.

Obviously it may change as the days go on. I know it does vary woman to woman. They did say there wasn't much to remove from me so that may make a difference, who knows.

I hope all goes smoothly for you x
