Bbhugme or Snuzcurve

Hi, I’m having trouble sleeping and have been researching pregnancy pillows. When I sleep on my side my hip and leg ache like mad then I have to switch over and this continues all night. I’m sure I’m not alone in this! I currently sleep with a pillow in between my legs but it’s obviously not working.

Has anyone had similar pain relieved with either the bbhugme or snuz curve?

Im 32 weeks pregnant, my bump isn’t even that big so assume it’s going to get worse :)

I had a bbhugme which I LOVED. It would still be on the bed now if DP didn't hate how much room it took up!

Love love love my bbhugme. It's also so useful post partum to prop you up in bed or on the sofa, for feeding etc.......and the perfect position for watching TV or reading, it's just so comfy. DD is 21 months and now pregnant with my second and I've never gone a week without using it!

And there I was, thinking this was a thread on "baby names" ----

I have a bbhugme, and its great and super comfy and now cant live without it but....

  • the plastic pebbles are annoying and uncomfortable
  • if you have to switch sides ypu have to wrestle the pillow
  • it makes me quite hot

I read loads of great things on here about it beforehand, but I feel like because they are a bit pricey people don't want to admit the flaws 🤷‍♀️

Love the bbhugme - the big pregnancy pillow and the small nursing pillow. Both have been my best maternity/ breastfeeding buys.

LeopardLover · 07/04/2023 22:53

The bbhugme is extremely overrated in my opinion! I barely used mine. Instead I used a cheapy U shape pillow from Amazon which was perfect. Save your cash! 😅

I am going to go against the grain here and recommend the snuzcurve (they are currently on sale). I like the two different parts to it. My hips and legs feel very supported with the blade and the other part with the tiny balls is great to position under my bump. I had bad SPD with my first pregnancy and this time around have hardly suffered from it and wonder if early use of the snuzcurve has helped.

Damn. I hoped this was a naming thread 😆

I bought a second hand bbhugme from Vinted, I bought a new cover for it.

Super comfy and long, perfect for sleeping with between legs and I like sitting on the sofa with it for back support.

It is big though, if you've got a double bed I wouldn't recommend as don't think my DH would fit in as well.

mishmased · 08/04/2023 00:45

I bought the bbhugme second hand and found it ok, my 5 year old loved it. Then a few months later the seller contacted me asking if I could sell it back to her as she was pregnant. She loved it that much 🤣

firsttimelondonmummy · 08/04/2023 14:36

I’ve grown to absolutely love my bbhugme and wouldn’t be without it now 🙏🏻

@Dojiejo hiya
Just wondering when you started using the snuzcurve?
I've been looking at both these & think the snuz curve would be a bit more beneficial, I'd bad spd in last pregnancy so hoping to help get on top of it in this one

Dojiejo · 08/04/2023 21:36

@LilmissCa I started using it from 16 weeks (not that I needed it that early as I didn’t have a bump but it definitely made me think about what I was doing with my legs to avoid anything to aggravate my previous SPD. I have had a couple of niggles with my SPD but not like my last pregnancy. It is hard to know if it is the pillow or that I have been less active as I have had a prolonged foot fracture.
