Food poisoning advice

I know what I've eaten and as I ate it I regretted it.. I was out and had a brie and bacon baguette the brie was heated but I don't think it was enough.

Last night and currently I have cramps but I've been going to the loo and feeling sick. I'm worried about listeria now.

Anything I should be doing or watching out for?my midwife isn't great and I don't know who else to ask. I'm 36 weeks.

Please don’t stress, the risk is very very small and as you say it was heated. It’s highly unlikely. Businesses wouldn’t do well if they gave people food poisoning.

At that stage, you're probably alright, but ask for a GP call. Tell the receptionist you're pregnant, and they'll put you on the urgent list.

They'll probably prescribe antibiotics just in case. But don't worry, many Brie's are made with pasteurised milk these days, so it might just be your body getting your bowel ready for childbirth.

It’s extremely unlikely this is down to the Brie. Could just be a stomach upset or your body getting ready for birth (I had the same for a week before birth).

At the end of my first pregnancy, I had horrible stomach upset for about 4 days. I don’t think it was food poisoning, just my body clearing out. The likelihood of getting food poising from a ready made Brie baguette is minimal.

Hope you are feeling well soon.

Thank you all, I've been unwell all day with sickness and diarrhea but the cramping has stopped. I was very dehydrated sleeping on and off so spoke to a gp and advised deoralyte and to try keep drinking as I've been weak and dizzy.

They were more worried about me being dehydrated but seeing how I am tomorrow.

I hope it is a bug lol.. I'm having an elective so I don't want any prelabour signs lol. This is 3rd baby and I've never been ill off food during pregnancy but been a little stupid risking what I eat.
