Hello, I found out I'm pregnant a couple of days ago and am already struggling with anxiety. Thought it might be a good idea to make a thread in the hopes there's others in a similar position and we can support each other through!

About us:
TTC DC2 since January 2022
MC at 6 weeks in November 2022
Early MC/chemical pregnancy at 4 weeks at start of March 2023
Currently about 4 weeks pregnant

I keep getting some mild cramping and getting really scared but trying to talk myself down, anyone want to join?

@greyberry I'm in same position, first pregnancy I had a MMC at 8 weeks and ERPC December at nearly 10 weeks. I AM 38 years old.

Fell pregnant again second month trying and currently 7w+5.

Extremely anxious and nervous, worrying about symptoms coming and going, so nervous I've had 2 scans so far and all ok, another scan with the EPU on Wednesday morning as worried about nausea having left.

I had some mild camping around 4/5 weeks too, I had like a pinching feeling as well which lasted a few days and was quite sore. I think it's all normal and actually reassuring

Wishing you a healthy and happy pregnancy this time around x

Hi OP! Hope it’s going well,
cery similar position…albeit 4 miscarriages and this is pregnancy number 5 on 5 weeks.

I have diagnosed APS and Thyroiditis so nothing in my favour.

taking daily aspiring and cyclogest.

Referred myself for an early scan which o will be having at 6 weeks

im second guessing everything just like you. The days seem to be draaaaaginggggg just want to get a good way through it !!

Stickly · 03/04/2023 19:28

Joining! Pregnant for the 6th time and have 1 child. I had 2 straightforward losses, 1 that needed surgery, then lost my 2nd son to SIDS and have found myself pregnant exactly a year on from his death only to have a 6 week scan that is showing chance of missed miscarriage. I have the following up scan on Wednesday where things will be more conclusive. Waiting for the worst as I'm sure of my dates and only a yolk sake was seen at 6 weeks :(

LethargicButAwesome · 03/04/2023 22:31

Really hope it’s not a missed miss-carriage xx can’t even imagine what you have been through. Hugs, love and support ❤️

Stickly · 04/04/2023 10:08

I'll update you tomorrow, tbh I'm mentally prepared for it to not be good news. Rather that than get my hopes up!!

LethargicButAwesome · 04/04/2023 12:55

Hope it goes well for you toMororw xx

i am in a similar position have just been dated at 5weeks, I know exactly when I ovulated, so hoping it was just a late implantation.

Yours very well could be, so much changes by the day in the first few weeks.

allgoodthings84 · 04/04/2023 13:13

I’m so so sorry to see what you’ve all been through.

I hope everything goes well tomorrow @Stickly I have seen so many people on here measure later than their dates but things catch up and is fine. Hopefully it’s the same for you 💕

I had 2 early miscarriages in a row and am now 19+3 weeks pregnant. I have a 7 year old but with a different partner now. Things are going well so far and I have my 20 weeks scan end of next week. I had a private scan at 9 weeks and 17 weeks because of the previous losses and it did help. I’m glad I waited until 9 weeks though as miscarriage chance drops massively if a heartbeat is seen on a scan after 8 weeks.

I’m hoping my story can help you all feel a bit better knowing things can work out after more than one miscarriage even. I was so sure something was wrong with me after my second loss (or I was too old).

I’m still scared a lot but as each week goes by it gets a little easier. The first trimester was terrifying. I just had to keep reminding myself that today I’m pregnant.

Stickly · 05/04/2023 11:21

Well my scan was frustrating this morning. The midwife has serious concerns regarding lack of growth and pre empting miscarriage but can't confirm until repeat scan next week.

allgoodthings84 · 05/04/2023 13:21

@Stickly I’m so sorry that you still have no answers. Hopefully next week more will show on the scan

Stickly · 05/04/2023 13:46

Ready for this to be over with. Talk about history repeating itself. Hope everyone else has better luck!

LethargicButAwesome · 05/04/2023 14:51

Sorry to hear sticky… is there still a heart beat ?

Stickly · 05/04/2023 16:17

No, never saw one to begin with. It's obviously a non viable pregnancy but they have to follow protocol with the repeat scan next week before acting on it.

LethargicButAwesome · 05/04/2023 22:00

I’m so sorry to hear of your experience. I find the not knowing and the uncertainty the worst ❤️ when you know it’s not viable and your write it’s not viable but deep down your still hoping and praying for a miracle. I really hope you get your miracle soon ….you have had your fair share of trials @Stickly

sending love and thoughts your way…❤️ your not alone x

TTCing · 07/04/2023 05:26

I could have written this. I had a chemical pregnancy (about 2 days after I found out I was pregnant) in Feb 21. I’d been TTC for 12 months at that point. I was so heartbroken.

I now have a 1 year old ❤️

I’ve been TTC now since July 22. And I’ve had a positive pregnancy test today. I was so excited and within literally about 60 seconds my anxiety kicked in thinking ‘please god don’t let this be another chemical/miscarriage’ 😔

I suffer with really really bad anxiety anyway. But I find that I really struggle with pregnancy. I live in fear of the worst.

Sending you a lot of love! When are you due? X

LethargicButAwesome · 08/04/2023 10:17

@Stickly how you holding up?

greyberry · 10/04/2023 10:46

Oh gosh! We were away for a couple of days and I hardly checked my phone, didn't realise people had actually replied!

I'm so sorry to hear people are going through similar but hoping for the best for all of us. My symptoms seems to be coming and going each day but I still keep testing and my lines have been getting darker - not that excessive testing helped with the first MC but I just can't seem to stop!

OP posts:
greyberry · 10/04/2023 10:55

@38andtrying congratulations on your pregnancy ♥️ how was your scan? I feel similar with my symptoms, sometimes I really feel it and other times I feel nothing - did the EPU scan you because of symptoms going or have you had other symptoms? I spoke to them and they said I can take aspirin daily and then if I have any bleeding they'll give me progesterone too but I hate the fear every time I go to the toilet expecting there to be blood!

@LethargicButAwesome I feel the same, 5w2d now and it feels like years have passed since I found out, I feel like I'm so aware of everything in my body and can hardly switch my mind off to enjoy anything else just now!

@Stickly I'm so sorry to hear all you've been through and that you're left waiting again this time, sending lots of love ♥️

@allgoodthings84 congratulations! I'm so glad things have progressed well for you, have you been feeling movements yet? I can't wait for that part! I was looking at private scans but also scared to book incase I jinx it... I haven't even booked in with the hospital yet in case I make it go wrong. I was looking at scans for 6.5 weeks - 7 weeks but also worried that might be too early, although feel like I'm already struggling to wait! I can't believe how relaxed I was with my first pregnancy, never worried about anything like this.

@TTCing how are you feeling now? Have you had many symptoms? I was the same with my chemical, had faint tests from Wednesday but didn't get a clear answer till friday then the bleeding started on the saturday and that was it. It was all so fast! I'll be due around 12th December, what about you?

OP posts:
TTCing · 10/04/2023 11:21

@greyberry still anxious! I’ve ordered some FRERs to arrive tomorrow, as I’m hoping tracking line progression might alleviate some anxiety. But I know it’s probably not a healthy habit!

I feel like weeks 3-8 are probably the most anxious as chances of a miscarriage drop significantly from 8 weeks.

I’m due on the 15th December.

How are you feeling? I hope you are okay.

greyberry · 10/04/2023 14:28

@TTCing I have done so many tests since I found out as well, the lines are definitely getting darker but I still get so scared waiting to check them just in case the line is gone! I'm just so scared of bleeding but not even had any spotting or anything yet so hopefully 🤞 yeah I saw that about 8 weeks too - just feels so far away!

Not long between our due dates, how nice ♥️ my daughter is January as well so will be a busy few months with christmas as well!

I'm okay, still feeling some twinges in my stomach and have days of bad nausea then other days where I feel fine but just trying to keep busy. How are you feeling? Do you think you'll book an early scan?

OP posts:
TTCing · 10/04/2023 15:24

@greyberry i completely resonate with how you’re feeling. But it seems positive that your lines are getting stronger!

my daughter is a December baby, so a busy time of year for me too!

I haven’t really got many symptoms. A little bit of feeling sick occasionally but not much else.

I think I’ll book in a scan for 9 weeks and then it’s not too long until the 12 week NHS scan then. How about you?

You might already be in a December 23 Facebook group, but I’ve linked it just in case you’re not/want to join: https://fb.me/g/p_eJY9dNem73AUB29B/j95ZKKJU

@TTCing yeah that's true! Let me know how your FRERs go, I've just been using those easy@home cheapies off amazon, it was like £5 for a box of 25 so was hoping it'd keep me going a while!

Yea I'm thinking of booking one too but not sure I'll last much longer, trying to wait till there'll at least be a sign of a heartbeat hopefully to help with the anxiety.

I haven't seen that one but have requested to join now, thank you for the link!

@greyberry i have some bad news to share. I’ve started bleeding and now had a ‘not pregnant’ test 😔

So I’m out and back into the next cycle of TTC.

I really hope that it all goes well for you ❤️ xxx

greyberry · 10/04/2023 20:41

@TTCing oh no I'm so sorry to hear that, sending love 🤍 xxx
