Pain in Bump When Walking at 25 weeks

I have noticed over the last couple of days a stitch like pain in the lower right and upper left sides of my bump if I have walked anywhere. It has really started since I have been walking DD the 20 minutes to school.

Today when I went to collect her from school, it was so intense, I had trouble catching my breath nad had to push and rub both sides of my bump. One woman asked me if I needed towels already and I laughed, but it is really painful and freaking me out because I'm not sure it's normal. They're not contraction type pains but they do go on for some time. Any ideas what it could be? I was thinking maybe stress, especially with DH and I the way we are at the moment.

They are stitiches - I had them as well and asked my MW about them and she reassured me that it is normal and almost all pregnant woman get them. Very sore tho and almost puts me off walking!

Yep sounds like a stitch. I am also getting them atm - 26 wks - though not as bad as you by the sounds of it. You poor thing.

Deep breathing helps me a bit.

I find slowing right down helps a bit - really dawdling, even if you feel you can walk faster.

ah, I had this really badly from about 20 weeks to 30, I think - walking was pretty much out. Was told round ligament pain (esp if down low on the right side, which is where mine was). It's a bugger, isn't it? Happy to report that mine did go away (I'm 35 weeks now and am merrily waddling striding around everywhere again. Hope yours passes quickly!

Interesting jura. I asked my midwife if it was likely to be a ligament thing, with all the stretching going on, and she said no it'll just be stitches.

Maybe I should get a 2nd opinion...

It sounds like typical round ligament pain to me. I had it with my last pg quite a bit from about 24 weeks onwards. If you are really worried go and see your GP. My midwife agreed that it was ligament pain but said that it was completely normal.
