Treatment at work

I recently found out that I am pregnant and am awaiting my scan appointment. It is not the right time for me to have a child, financially, mentally or physically. I am struggling pretty bad with sickness and had to tell a female manager at work about my situation. I’d like to know how other people were treated at work whilst awaiting your termination appointment. Do they treat you as though you are more delicate (I definitely am) and I am worried about getting through my shifts when I feel so ill. I am also on Cyclizine anti sickness which make me unable to drive and make me extremely drowsy but I can hardly get out of bed without taking them. Any tips for coping with this at work?

Sorry you're going through this OP.

I'm not an expert but I would presume you would have exactly the same rights as any other pregnant woman. I.e. not being penalised for pregnancy related sickness absence, time off for appointments etc. Did you tell them you were awaiting termination? That shouldn't make a difference to how you are treated while pregnant iyswim.

Could you ask your GP to sign you off for a couple of weeks?

Best of luck
