Passing huge clots but showing early pregnancy

I was passing HUGE clots a few days ago and was bleeding constantly. I was sure I was having a miscarriage.
Went to Early Pregnancy Unit today and they can see a sac with a tiny yolk in it. What you’d expect to see at 4-5 weeks pregnant. I didn’t ask this at the time but should have - if I had already miscarried a few days ago , would they still be able to see a sac and yolk? Or would it be gone?

This happened to me. Baby born 9 months ago, all fine and dandy. She had been a twin.

@ForgottenNurseryRhymes did they bring you back in for another scan ? I have another scan at early pregnancy unit in 2 weeks time and I’m so scared I’m going to go and see that the baby isn’t developing / growing

Yes, that's pretty much what occurred. Think positively and hope for the best, I honestly thought I was no longer pregnant and had only found out that day. Week later, still vomiting, bleeding and another positive test.

Hi i hope you’re okay.. I just wondered what the outcome of this was? As am going through something similar!

hey! I’m currently 26 weeks pregnant! And all is going well!!
because of all the heavy bleeding and blood clots I had I’ve been so worried throughout the pregnancy but it’s all fine. No one can explain what happened as they’re not sure but midwife said could have been some kind of haemorrhage which can be common , or maybe lost a twin. But we’ll never know!

I had clots and bleeding heavy ish for a day then just bleeding the next day, it’s much lighter now at day 3 but I’m so scared!
