Hello ladies I’m 25 and i recently had my bundle of joy roughly 10weeks ago
unfortunatley ended up having a C-section I was wondering does your mummy tummy go? This is currently what’s left and I’m being told this is now permanent- after having a baby I’m trying to be kinder to myself as I carried my wonderful baby for 9months but I can’t help but feel depressed about my body!

No At 10 weeks pp after c section your body hasn't finished healing yet, I'd say you have a long way to go, I was still very swollen then and hadn't lost my pregnancy weight. It took me about 8 months for my body to return to prepregnancy figure, although obviously still have the c section scar. I was really worried too that I'd always have an overhang from the section, but I didn't (although I'm pregnant again so who knows this time round)

Who told you that?!

It’s only been a couple of months, you’re still recovering from a massive operation and it took 9 months to grow your baby so it’ll take your body much longer than 10 weeks to change again.

I lost an inch around my ribs when DD was a year old with no change in my weight or any other part of my body. Things change for ages after.

Be nice to yourself, exercise gently, eat well, enjoy your baby and it’s fine and normal to be a bit concerned about how you look but don’t panic or despair.

That’s unlikely to be permanent!
baby 1 I lost the weight in about 15 months but was still a bit round in the middle until 3y when I had a flat tummy again
baby 2 I lost the weight in about 8m, then lost more (nature not dieting, dunno why) shape is still a bit rounded at 2y, so think that’s here to stay this time.

Nope not true. 3 kids and 2 c-sections. 8 years between csections and very much had a flat tummy and very hard to notice scar.

My current baby is 5 1/2 months old and I have excess weight on my stomach so I do look different but if I have up my daily cake that would start to reduce.
