I am leaving my employer soon. Last year sadly due to two separate difficult pregnancy and subsequent miscarriages I had to take pregnancy related sick leave. Probably 4 weeks in total spread over the year. Prior to that I very rarely take any sick days.
I understand this pregnancy related sick leave should be viewed differently but my question is if a new employer asks in the future for days off sick in past employment (which I think they can when they get a reference?) will my current employer provide the total number including my pregnancy related sickness?
Or would they specify it is pregnancy related sickness?
Or would the pregnancy related not go to the total?
Of course because I had two MC and still no baby If they do specify the pregnancy related sickness separately I do not want them to do so because it will be obvious it was miscarriages.
I hope this makes sense! Any people in HR who can help on this would be much appreciated.
