24 weeks pregnant and feel terrible!

This has been a relatively straightforward pregnancy, although I have been plagued with insomnia from the start.

Last week I suddenly started feeling full of air and so bloated and uncomfortable. Difficult to get comfortable in bed as my hips and legs hurt lying on my side. Feel sick a lot, can barely eat as I just feel stuffed all the time, breathless and unfit …

All would be understandable at 34 weeks but 24??

@Ababyforsummer between 12-24 weeks I had a great pregnancy but now I'm 24 weeks and feel awful! Bad tummy/digestion and bad sciatica pain below my bum! Just wanted to let you know you're not alone x

Am 19 weeks and can sympathise a bit. Sorry if you have already tried this, but sleeping with a pillow between my knees has been a godsend! I no longer toss and turn. Also bran every single day and copious amounts of water. I know exactly the full of air feeling you are describing! But it's better on the days that I am much more conscious of my water intake.

I was the same. The second trimester was actually the worst for me. I'm now 29 weeks and feel great! I think it's partly to do with baby settling in a more comfortable position (head down now as opposed to oblique). Also, I was unable to do much exercise until recently due to heavy bleeding in the first trimester but have now taken up yoga again. I also go for more regular walks. I swear it makes a huge difference! My digestion is much better, I feel less bloated and my sleep has improved. I also have some hip pain at night and I saw an osteopath for a few sessions, which has helped. So yeah, I can totally relate but don't think it's only going to get worse. Try and be a bit proactive about it and then it can definitely improve! x

I am also 24 wks and i experiencing hip and leg pains during the night, also feeling bloated with constant heartburn so you definitely aren't alone! I have recently starting using a pillow between my knees which has helped a little but still spend the majority of the night tossing and turning. But its worth a try it may help. Hope things settle down for you soon!

At 24 weeks I felt awful, full of gas and the worst heart burn. The baby finally turned head down at around 31 weeks and it is much improved. Heartburn has now all but disappeared! Hang in there it will improve!

I'm 22 weeks and have struggled with sleep for the last couple of weeks, mainly because I can't get comfy easily and my hips hurt. They're not too bad when I go to bed but then in the night they start hurting and I struggle getting back to sleep again.

Not been feeling too bloated or anything but the last couple of days my stomach has been very noisy! So much gurgling etc.

Also struggling with on and off back pain. I work on my feet all day and was really struggling towards the end of my shift yesterday.

Totally sympathise with how you feel x
