Propess induction

Hi everyone, I wanted to ask about your experiences. I’m currently 38+6 weeks pregnant with second child. First child born spontaneously with help of forceps at 41+1.
Last Sunday I’ve been to hospital due to the body itching. I was told there is a protein in urine, I had a bit of a higher blood pressure and blood test came a little bit higher then normal. I was told that due to all of these things I need to be booked for induction on Monday. Since then I have no itching, blood pressure is normal and no protein in urine. On Sunday a midwife has done the sweep and on Monday I came to hospital for induction at 4pm and 9:30 pm I was given the propess. Tuesday I started having contraction which hit more intense from about 4-5pm and in the evening they were really really painful so I really thought it’s start of the labour. I was trying to be really mobile that day and even walked like 12km in the hospital. Wednesday 1:20am , the doctor examined me (it was extremely painful as he said I’ve been swollen and sore down there) and he said the cervix still not opened so they cannot break my water and that they can give me another propess in the morning at 9:30am. I started feeling really stressed because I honestly felt like I’ve been pushed to have induction and if the baby is not ready then I can do whatever but he still won’t come out. I then decided to trust the doctors that I’m here for some reason and went for the another round of propess at 9:30 this morning so I’m going to be examineded again after 24 hours so on Thursday 9:30am. I’m in the waiting process now and wanted to hear you experiences. I’m trying to walk, bounce on the ball etc. I’m having a bit of cramps and tightening but nothing big yet. I just wanted to see how were you experiences with the propess?? They said then don’t do any gels or drip etc only the propess which is in for 24 hours. And this is the last round. Anyone has been in the same situation? And went into labour after second propess?
Thank you very much!!!!!!

Hey, sorry to hear your having a hard time at the moment. My induction didn't go to plan either (it just didn't work) although with tightening and cramps it sounds promising for you.
Seems strange tho that different hospitals offer different treatments, I wish it was the same across the UK as we are all under the NHS 🤷‍♀️
I was given x1 propess for 24hrs then a prostin pill for 6hrs then another prostin pill for 6hrs then a 24hr break then a 3rd prostin pill.
As its your 2nd could you request a balloon catheter or the rods (foam squishy things that expand naturally)
Ask to speak to the lead consultant and the matron midwife and just explain your not happy and feel pushed with this etc... they may be able to offer you another option

Best of luck xx
