Anyone with experiences of putting house on the market while heavily pregnant

Hey guys

Just struggling with how we will juggle it all and want to hear from people who managed it. We put our house up on the market in September when I was 4 weeks pregnant.

Fast forward to now, I am 34 weeks and we are expecting a good offer to come in today and I'm just getting so stressed about the prospect of moving with a newborn.

It's the right thing to do - to move at this time. We have a very small house and my DH works from home and delaying it could cause us issues when I go back to work and also work from home.

But just wondering, how did people cope going through the moving process while heavily pregnant/with a new born.

Has anyone got any tips?

Moved with a newborn... Most definitely pay the moving company to pack/unpack for you. It costs more but worth every £.

I suppose the thing that you have on your side is that unfortunately the moving process often takes an eternity, so your baby will likely be a good few months old and you'll have settled into it by the time you move.

I moved at 38 weeks but told everyone from the start I wasn't moving within two weeks of birth and reiterated this several times at 36 weeks they suddenly all pulled their fingers out and got a move on. I packed and lived around boxes much earlier than I would have done. I also had a contingency plan if I went into labour while moving. Every box was numbered and allocated a room even a cupboard in kitchen so if I couldn't do it my mum was at least going to make sure kitchen was unpacked and bed was made, everything else could wait.

Yes. Our house went on the market when I was about 33 weeks pregnant, sold to the first person who viewed and we moved when my child was 7 weeks old. My then partner worked 7 days a week (own business) so I did everything to do with selling and moving including most of the packing and then the unpacking. Luckily I had a parent who lived not too far away who looked after my baby for some of the time during the move to the new house. No real tips other than you just have to get on with it and once in the new house, don't worry about getting everything done and unpacked immediately. Take your time. Good luck.

Thanks everyone that's quite reassuring just knowing others have been through it.

Not ideal but I can't imagine moving with a toddler would be any easier 😂
