Felt DD1 start to move at about 14-16 weeks. Only just 12 weeks now and could have sworn that I felt a tiny flutter. Cant be though, can it? Seems soooo early.

I reckon I have already felt baby no3 and I'm about the same stage as you. I've now felt it so many times I'm sure - even though I'm also sure no-one will believe me!

Sunshinemummy · 13/02/2008 12:24

It will sound daft but I've thought I felt mine at 10 weeks. It feels so different from anything else doesn't it?

aiti72 · 13/02/2008 12:30

16+4 today and I don't feel a thing.. Somethingswrongsomethingwrong...

PetitFilou1 · 13/02/2008 12:33

Oh aiti don't worry

maxbear · 13/02/2008 14:01

I was fairly sure that I felt ds move at about 12 weeks, I heard the heartbeat with a sonic aid at 9 weeks, he was just early with everything. Now 11 months and no sign of crawling or walking so that has not continued!!

maxbear · 13/02/2008 14:03

I did not feel my first until 18 weeks and some people don't feel theirs until 22 or more unusually 24 weeks so don't worry aiti, normal not to have felt it. In fact if it is your first would be unusual to feel it that soon.

aiti72 · 13/02/2008 19:35

This is my second as well.. I was wondering, can a retroverted uterus cause me to feel the movements later than average?

BetsyBoop · 13/02/2008 21:26

felt DD (1st) at about 18wks

with DS (2nd) thought I could feel him at 11wks & was absolutely definitely sure it was him moving by 13wks - even though all the books say far too early.

If that's what you think it is you are almost definitely right. It's such a lovely feeling & not one you forget

catsypug · 14/02/2008 09:40

Felt DD at about 19 weeks and that was a fluttering/butterfly feeling first before definite movement weeks later.

This time round - felt first movements at about 14 weeks and it was definite faint little jabs, not the butterfly feeling with DD1.

Put that down to having no stomach muscles to hide the movements this time.

juuule · 14/02/2008 09:49

2nd baby - 10/11 weeks here.

doggiesayswoof · 14/02/2008 11:04

I was almost definitely sure I felt no. 2 at 13 weeks. Midwife said it couldn't be, but it is such a distinct feeling. Definite movements by about 15 weeks.

aiti, please don't worry - every baby is different. Sure you will feel something soon.

LyraSilvertongue · 14/02/2008 11:05

DS1 was 16 weeks exactly.

DS2 was much earlier than DS1.

Takenoprisoners · 14/02/2008 16:03

With first pregnancy, about 17 weeks. With second, definitely at 10 weeks. It felt like a slight, localised pressure, and by 12/13 weeks had progressed to little taps, now at 20 weeks the same, but stronger. My midwife says that a lot of subsequent pregnancies can be felt much earlier than stipulated in all the books etc, that you're not necessarily imagining things!

jellies · 14/02/2008 16:08

11 weeks I was even able to tell the midwife where he was to listen for his Heartbeat

cluckyagain · 14/02/2008 16:11

I felt both 2nd and 3rd at 11 weeks then nothing until about 15 or so - I suspected it was because the uterus 'moves up a bit' at about 12 or so weeks so I didn;t feel in the intervening weeks until the baby was big enough again.

IndigoMoon · 14/02/2008 16:11

i felt dd1 at 10 weeks!!! it was the strangest sensation and i did not feel her again until much later i think it was the position she was in.

i could feel ds at 11 weeks just before my scan.

Sketchi · 19/02/2008 21:22

1st Dd at around 17-18 weeks

2nd pregnancy around 16 weeks.

I have read the run of the mill is one month previously to your first pregnancy.
