False Miscarriage Diagnosis Stories??

Hi lovely ladies 🥰,

So , here’s my story ! I would have been 7 weeks pregnant on Friday, by my dates. Unfortunately Started to bleed Friday night around 8pm , went to A&E sat morning around 10 am when they got to me.
Firstly , they examined my cervix. Said the bleeding was mild and cervix was closed. Which was a positive sign. But then , on the internal scan they couldn’t find any sign of baby and said I have likely miscarried 😞

I am booked in for what I suppose is a confirmation scan on Monday . This waiting is killing me. I am clinging onto the hope that perhaps my dates are wrong and it was too early to pick up anything on the ultrasound . And maybe , just maybe .. they might see a little flicker on screen 😞

has anyone had a positive outcome at a follow up scan after a previous scan which predicted a miscarriage?

I went for an early scan at 5 weeks and they couldn't find anything. 2 weeks later, a baby! (well fetal pole!) Hold on xx and wishing you all the best xx

I had a scan after severe bleeding at 5 weeks and they found a baby with a heartbeat. A friend of mine had a similar thing just a few days before at five weeks and they couldn't fund a heartbeat or even a baby for that matter. We now have kids born within days of one another- there just seems to be no rhyme or reason to it. Sometimes they can see things on the scan and sometimes they can't. Hang in there and fingers crossed.

Hey, same here.
Went at 6+3 to have a scan in EPU as had bleeding and there was no baby, no yolk and only a sack where a baby potentially was (miscarriage) or would have been (blight ovum) I had an internal scan too so even clearer imaging.
Went back 10 days later and there he was fully formed as he should be and my dates were correct.
The sonographer said this isn't uncommon as they are literally millimeters long and can easily be missed.

Keep hope until you know more if they were certain they would have confirmed it there and then and they can't.

Look after yourself and be kind to yourself. I have everything crossed for you xx

Ah thank you all so much for these reassuring stories . I will keep you all updated . Good to hang on to that little bit of hope. I had a CS with my daughter 16 months ago. Have read somewhere that it can be harder for a sonographer to find foetus on someone who has had CS ? Anyone heard of this ? Or am I really clutching at strings 😂

If it helps I also had a c section with my 1st and she was 12 months old when I got pregnant again and the above happened. Don't know if its connected but with scar tissue in there it's very possible I guess 🤷‍♀️
