Hey,
im really early but I have been having a tight stomach, I tested and I think I can see a faint positive, it’s really faint and with flash has no colour but in real life is a dark shadow? I’ve attached pics. Has anyone had this before? Is it a indent

My first positive pregnancy test looked like this, I thought it was a shadow but it was a faint line. I can see a faint, faint line there.

Try another stick with first morning urine (I got a clear negative the night before because I'd had so much water to drink) and go get a Clearblue test - even a non digital one will be more sensitive than a dip stick like that and they come in packs of 2. You said you were testing early so make sure you wait until you would have had your period.

The one with the flash the line looks white, which is not a positive, it’s just where the dye would be. I can’t see anything at all on your other ones.

how early are you? Don’t use clear blue or digitals as they are not reliable when early. Get a frer as they are the most sensitive, but better to wait until your period is due

Hey! I’m so early I’m 6dpo so I’ll test in like a week, I have been pregnant before and tested early and it looked the same but I won’t get my hopes up and see what happens thank you so much! Xxxx

@Lilybooz so 6dpo is too early to get a positive. The earliest you can implant is 6dpo but can take up to 12dpo and then it takes a few days for hcg to rise enough to be detected by a test. Some people get positives at 9dpo but more likely 10dpo or later. But 6dpo is definitely not possible for a positive.

Ah, I would wait a bit then.

It's so tempting to test early, especially if you've been trying for a while! I forced myself to only test the day after a missed period after chucking so many tests in the bin.

Keep us updated if you get a positive! 🤞

I also, got the test out the bin. I know you shouldn’t read after 10 mins and the pics are take a within the 10 mins but the test is a lot darker and clearer now so that’s making it more tempting to test again x

I suppose it depends on how many of those sticks you have. If you don't care about wasting a few you could test every other morning?

I got so disheartened waiting for my period when we were TTC that I decided I would test when I felt like it for my own mental health and not worry about wasting tests. That was near the end though so I only wasted about 5!

Either way, whether you test or not, you will know soon when your period arrives or doesn't :D

Yes it is so disheartening and definitely affects your mental health!! I am going to wait until the weekend then I’ll be 9dpo then I’ll test again if my period doesn’t come 🤞🤞 thank you!! I’ll let you know how it goes xxx

I know I’m so early still but I did an early test and I thought I could see the faint line but I think I’m wishful thinking ☹️ anyone else? I’m due for my period a week today

As @Twoinapod says, you need first morning urine really.

I can't see anything but a week before your period is still very early! Try not to worry x

Thank you! I did one this morning so I’ll be 9dpo with my fmu and the shadow is a tiny bit darker 🤞 don’t want to get too excited but I’ll see in a few days. I know it’s a waste but I’m too excited not too test 😭😂 xxx

It's so hard, isn't it! In the end the only thing that will confirm is a clearer line and I think you'll only get that after your period was supposed to arrive...maybe testing early again is making you more stressed?

I was lucky in a way that when we got pregnant it was over Christmas/New Year I'd already resigned myself to seeking fertility treatment in the new year. I ended up eating so much "I'm fed up I'm not pregnant after a year of trying" brie over the holidays (but thankfully not drinking as the doc told me that could reduce my fertility). Then by the time we got back from visiting various family I was already 3 days late.

Have you felt any of the early signs at all? I was extremely tired over that holiday even though I was sleeping a lot, and I could feel prickles/tingles in my uterus.

Based on my due date my ovulation didn't fall at all where the app predicted it should, probably about 4-5 days after that. I think I literally got pregnant the very last time we tried that month! I'd never once seen a line on an ovulation strip either so I was convinced I wasn't ovulating at all - turns out it was just later in the cycle. That would mean I likely would have had no line on a test at your point either.

Don't give up, it's too early to know for sure yet. Even if you do get your period (which will be devastating, obviously) you did still have a faint line so that could mean a chemical pregnancy. Which is bad in some ways but positive if you're concerned about fertility! You can hold on to that if the worst happens 🤞

Awww bless you that sounds perfect! It must have made it so much easier. This wait up to my period is the longest week 😂😂 I did another early response 🤦‍♀️ it’s still faint but I can see it, I’m not going to show anyone like my boyfriend because I don’t want to make him excited, so the only person I’ve told is on this! I won’t tell until it’s clear. I have been pregnant two years ago and i had slight dizziness but I was SO thirsty. This time I had a tight stomach and I’m exhausted but I’m a tiered person my migraines are also everyday I guess I just gotta wait and see. I also can smell things like it’s heightened and it makes me gag. I probably will keep testing lol me and my partner tried this month a lot so I’ll see 🤞❤️❤️

Sorry to hear about the migraines, that sounds terrible. Hopefully the exhaustion is a positive sign though!
