Hi,

Im currently 8 weeks pregnant with my third child. Since 6 weeks I’ve had unbearable all day 24 hours a day nausea and dizziness. I’ve only thrown up a couple time but the nausea is so bad it’s taken over my life. I can’t think, I can’t talk, I can’t go outside. I have two small children so it’s hard work. Doctor prescribed me cyclizine which I took for a week which have made no difference. She has now changed me over to prochlorperazine to see if that makes a difference. Has anybody taken these and it worked? I don’t know what I’m going to do tbh I don’t know If I can carry on feeling like this.

Hi there, I just saw your message and can sense your desperation and so felt compelled to reply. I had the most horrendous sickness for the majority of my pregnancy and none of the anti-sickness pills really helped unfortunately. The best thing for me was prochlorperazine, but the injected version, which had to be administered at my doctors surgery. Ondansetron was the only drug version that helped for a short time but it's a last resort one so doctors don't usually prescribe it until they've exhausted all other options. I'm so sorry you're going through this and with two young children, it really is awful but hopefully it won't last too much longer for you! As everyone says, it'll be so worth it in the end! ❤️ Best of luck and hopefully this has been useful in some way x

@courtney251 i second @Koala2022 on the Prochlorperazine. Sorry you are feeling so terrible, I’m in a similar situation to you where the nausea has taken over my life and I am bedridden. Prochlorperazine has given me some relief which is great but I was on a low dosage but still not able to eat. So I’ve asked for the dosage to be doubled and hoping that helps more but compared to not having it, it’s so much easier to bear.
Definitely interested in the injected version though.
i contacted Pregnancy Sickness Support - https://www.pregnancysicknesssupport.org.uk/ and they sent me lots of information on medication.
Hope this helps.
