Hello everyone

I've been having cramps most of the night sharp pains every time I move . I had a bath last night to see if helped and didn't really help as much . I didn't experience this in my last pregnancies . To make matters worse I'm not sure how far a long I am

Do I ring the doctors and ask for a referral to EPU or can my midwife do that.? I've been allocated one as seeing her Monday

Yes I should know what to do as I've had kids before but I've never had anything like this in my last ones

Please please no negative Comments!!!

Thank you for reading 💜💜

You can call them directly, you don't need a referral of you don't have their number ring your midwife for it x

LeeanneD11 · 28/03/2023 07:59

@PMAmostofthetime they told me I need to get a referral before when I rang epu x

Good luck tomorrow.. I did have a bit of cramp early on this time but not constantly. I’ve had sharp pains on either side every time I stand up, almost where my ovaries would be. I’m now 20 weeks and I’ve had it from not long after finding out I was pregnant. I had a csection last time so thought it was from that but I think it’s round ligament pain when I looked it up

@PMAmostofthetime

I have an update , I'm currently 5 weeks only seen a sac but nothing else . They have taken a blood test to rule out ectopic pregnancy. I currently have a 8cm cyst on my right ovaries to I'm having a blood test Friday and another scan next week . I'm currently in limbo land and emotional too xx

Awwww I remember this feeling all too well, take care of yourself and hopefully things will turn out for the best. I had a scan at 6 weeks and then 7 after 2 bleeds and I am now 39 weeks.

I hope everything works out well for for, look after yourself x

It's horrible , I'm worrying so much cause of this cyst on my ovaries and having more bloods too . I'm currently trying to not get emotional and hope for the best . The pain is unbearable cause it's massive xx

Please don’t worry about the cyst on your ovary, this can be completely normal and many people get them especially in pregnancy - they can cause pain sometimes. I have one on my right too which they told me is normal/common and not a concern.

Pleased to hear it is not an ectopic and there is a sac in the uterus… I know exactly how it feel to not know and be in limbo, I hope you get this resolved soon. All the best - sorry you are feeling like this, I hope this page gives you some support and ease x

That links says that at 5 weeks you'd expect the results to be anywhere between 200 and 7,100

And with yours being at 4332 that's right for being 5 weeks but it's not really the number they're looking at by itself, it's how much it increases by in 48 hours. Typically in pregnancy they'd be increasing by around 50% every 48 hours but with an ectopic or a miscarriage they'd be increasing much slower/decreasing
