Hey Everybody!

so.. I’m currently 11 days late. We’ve been actively trying for over 6 months but haven’t had any joy. I was tracking everything on natural cycles but I became abit obsessive and felt that I needed to just go with the flow and try to be more relaxed, it would just happen when it’s meant to happen! Somebody had told me about ‘Zita West’ vitamins so I have been taken those for about 2 months. I took my first pregnancy test on Thursday so 8 days overdue and the. My second one today, but they was both very clearly negative.

I’ve got lots of symptoms, feeling very tired.. starving hungry lots of the time… tender boobs… I’ve had a few food cravings and then today I’ve experienced spotting. I am going CRAZY! Of course 2 negative tests I would normally think that I’m not pregnant but I just feel sooooo different this time, like I know I am… but maybe I’m just clinging on to hope.

has anybody else had a similar thing? Been 10+ days late but had negative tests and then ended up being pregnant? I would love to know!!

thank you!!

I haven’t experienced this unfortunately however have seen other people on here who have- but maybe try getting in touch with your GP? They may run some blood tests so you can get a definite answer!

I also took the Zita west vital DHA (are those the ones you mean?) when I was TTC all 3 of my children. I randomly had a 45 day cycle when trying for DC2 and my cycles were normally between 28-32 days. I wasn't pregnant, however I did fall pregnant the following month. The chances of you being pregnant are basically zero if you know when you ovulated and you're still getting negative tests, but it doesn't mean you won't get pregnant. For now though, put down the tests and focus on next month. Best of luck 💕💕

@Mrswright3 I don’t have any experience of this myself but just wondering if you’ve had covid recently? I had it in Feb for the first time and my next period was over a week late. I had no idea that it was a common issue u tip I looked into it!

I hope you get your positive soon 🤞🏼😊

Op please don't bother your gp with this, just wait another week and test again.

Definitely not pregnant if not hcg (hormone tested for with home kits), but stress/changes to diet/exercise can delay or prevent ovulation causing changed to your cycle. Hopefully the spotting means it won’t be long until you’ve got a fresh start with a new cycle.

Thank you. I'm going to leave it for the time being and just see if I do eventually come on, if nothing in the next 5 days and another negative test I may see what they say.

I once had a 42 days cycle (think I had an anovulatory cycle) - throughout I had lots of 'symptoms' but negative tests. 3 cycles later I got pregnant though so it doesn't have to be doom and gloom! Wishing you the best.

Yes, that's the ones! I'm taking a few others from Zita West too. Thank you very much for your message, I think I may be in the same situation, having a random 45 day cycle. Lovely to hear that you did fall pregnant the following month. Xx

Thank you for your message, I'm keeping positive. It's okay that it hasn't happened this cycle but after seeing lots of your messages to say that you fell pregnant soon after gives me hope and something to look forward to! :) xx

Nope, I haven't had Covid recently - but thanks for the message. That is something I could bear in mind going forward. Thank you xx

Some vitamins can mess up your cycle, I've seen it from more than a few here (particularly seven seas). Maybe try stopping those vitamins and see if your period arrives?
