Underwear for 2nd Trimester

Hi all,

As I hit my 2nd trimester, I am finding my regular underwire bras intolerable.

I have tried ordering non-underwire bralettes for comfort and support, but they all come in sizes like S,M,L,XL etc. which doesn't work for me as I am 34DD (and growing!) and they always tend to fit on the cup but not on the back or vice vearsa.

Can anyone recommend comfortable underwear for the 2nd trimester that comes in standard bra sizes?

I have no idea what the standard approach for this time period is as I imagine I will my breasts will become bigger shortly.

On my last pregnancy I had some non underwire bras from New look. I am a 32DD so they do proper sizes. They were nothing fancy just plain black and plain white but they were very comfortable. They came in packs of 2 x

M&S do some amazing non-underwired bras, they’re called ‘Flexifit™ Non-Wired Full Cup Bra’ and go up to a H cup. I’ve lived in them since early second trimester (now in third) they are so comfy, stretchy and supportive and wash really well - I think the same ones come in a nursing style as well.

Sainsburys do some non wired with a zip front. They come in s,m,l,xl sizes but I’m a 34GG and get the XL and they fit perfectly and so comfortable

I started off at the exact same size as you so totally feel your pain with the whole s/m/l thing. I got myself fitted at m&s for their wireless range and honestly I’ve not looked back. Depending on your current size they aren’t always the most attractive to look at (I’m now wearing a 36F/G so my choices were a little limited in terms of design) but so comfy!

Thanks all, this is super helpful.

Have just ordered the M&S Flexifit (and good idea @PerksOfBeingRach to get a fitting, may try pop in over the coming weeks for such) and also looking at the New Look underwire options.
