8wk scan, worried about slightly low heartbeat

Hi all,

I'm 8+3 today and have had two NHS scans (due to three miscarriages in the past year and a half) at 6wks and 8wks, both of which have shown the baby measuring 2 days ahead.

Heartbeat in 6wk scan was 135, but in 8wk scan was only 145. The sonographer didn't seem concerned and said that anything over 120 is normal, but I'm sure I heard her telling the nurse behind the curtain that it was a little low, and my research tells me 149 is the absolute lowest it should be to be considered 'normal' at 8 weeks.

A few hours after the scan I also had a little bleed, so obviously I'm panicking now about everything. My first two miscarriages were missed and ended just before 11 weeks, and I'm terrified this is happening again.

Most people seem to have scans with heartbeats at least in the 160s at 8wks.

I've got another scan booked for next week but just wondering if anyone else had a slightly low heartbeat at this stage and had good news in the end?

Don’t think that is low? I had a miscarriage after a 113 heartbeat at 8 weeks and 130 would have been fine?
I remember as I misheard the sonography and thought she said 130 and was relieved but then the notes said 113

That seems totally normal

I had a scan at 8 weeks a few days ago, although I'm measuring 7 weeks (also measured exactly a week behind the week before) and I'm also under a recurrent miscarriage clinic. Heart beat was 136 or 134 and she described it as good and strong. The week before she described it as light. Yours sounds good to me. I'm trying to not Google as much as I usually do and I am definitely more calm as a result.

Thanks all, but I've just had another small bleed and my symptoms feel entirely gone so I'm fearing the worst.
