Hi everyone,

I had my NT scan yesterday and my measurements were 4mm. They also did my blood work that came back today all showing fine for Edwards and Patau but my Bhcg is showing 2.6 when it should be around 1. I’m 30 years old and this is my first pregnancy, I never expected to be given odds of 1 in 3 for Down syndrome, I’m so worried and upset. Please can someone give me some hope and also if you had similar stats what happened in the end? I have a CVS booked for Monday.

Thank you x

Hi, sorry no one got back to you. How did you get on? In the same boat here.

hannah202 · 11/05/2023 20:07

Hey sorry to hear you’re going through this, I know it’s so hard. In the end the CVS came back clear and we had a cardiac scan today (now 20 weeks) to rule out any heart abnormalities due to the NT being high at our 12 week scan as this made us higher risk but thankfully that came back normal as well. Sometimes I think the high NT and off bloods can just be one of those things and doesn’t necessarily mean anything is wrong.

Congratulations! You just feel so relieved.
still waiting for results here (is it a good sign if the results don’t come in quickly?)
How long did you wait?
enjoy your lovely little one.

My results came back clear for chromosome abnormalities too. Phew.

@hannah202 @Nubnut can I ask how long your results from the 12 week tests took to come back please? I have mine booked for next week. Glad both of you got positive results ☺️

do you mean the cvs? Or just the normal 12 week scan and blood test? With those, you are told at the scan or just after
