Hi, I’m currently having the most worst time of my life. Ok so I took a test march 9th and got a very strong positive. Test line was much darker than the control. Prior to that I spotted March 4 only. The last period I remember was January 28 which puts me at 8 weeks. My fiancé says I had a period around January 10 but I don’t recall at all. So I go in to get an ultrasound March 13th nothing absolutely nothing. So tech scheduled me to come back on the 23rd. I went back and had another ultrasound and again nothing. I’m not in pain my back hurts a bit but that’s about it. But I’m pretty sure I either way with either date we should have seen some something the least I should be would be 7 weeks. Has anyone had this happen before?

Just an assumption- assuming your positive on 9th March was at 14dpo. It would put you at 6weeks. If it was a few days earlier you could be just shy of 6 weeks.

Are you in the uk? Was the scan private or nhs? If you haven’t already contact your epu. It would be good to check with a transvaginal scan if you haven’t had one already and the epu can check to rule out ectopic. Also take another test, just to make sure it’s still positive and hasn’t stopped growing very early.

Good luck and I hope it turns out well. The above are just suggestions.

Thank you for replying!! No I’m in the US. It was done at a local pregnancy clinic. The first ultrasound we did both types but this time only on the stomach. She called me today to do one Wednesday to check again with a transvaginal ultrasound. And yes I took one this morning

I normally find out at 2-3 weeks with a test so I’m hoping I just found out really early again. The dates are just throwing me for a loop

That is a dye steeler.
Ah hopefully on Wednesday you find out what’s happening, and that they manage to find it then.

I'm so sorry you are going through this

Did they give any suggestion as to what it might be? As in a miscarriage, pregnancy of unknown location? Or that its just too early. That test is very dark for them to see absolutely nothing, more concerning if they haven't offered any kind insight

Thank you!! She told me me with that being my last known menstral we should definitely be seeing something. At this moment she’s just trying to rule out etopic. But there’s no pain, no period nothing but back pain
