Eye drops at opticians

Hi,

I had a check up at the opticians today and got a small amount of the yellow dye drops in my eyes to check to see if they were dry/damaged, I didn’t think about whether this would be safe during pregnancy so I’m panicking so much now that it’s going to affect the baby, has anyone else had it done or knows if it is safe?

Not sure if I’ve had the same eye drops, but I’ve had several different eye drops in my eyes over the last few weeks, each time I’ve been told it’s safe for baby, not much help as I’m not sure if it’s the same eye drops but didn’t want to read & run 🙂

I had an eye test a few weeks ago. The optician didn't use the staining drops because I was pregnant, but he did say there was no evidence it was harmful he was just being extra cautious since he didn't need to use them for what he needed.

@Bluesky396 I’ve had some both at the opticians & at the eye clinic at the hospital, both places said they posed no harm to baby 🙂
