Hi everyone ❤️❤️

So just found out I'm pregnant with baby number 3. Very shocked and overwhelmed at the moment , basically I'm unsure how far gone I am, so not sure when my last period was . I've just done a referral for my midwife team . I put on the form unsure of last period date .

When would I get a scan? To confirm my due date and how far gone I am! I've been getting bad cramping and sore boobs too ❤️❤️

I think it depends how regular your period's are and when was the last one you remember having ie what month? Scans are usually around the 12 week mark.

I had a private scan at nine weeks for a hefty £90. To be honest I regret it, it was so expensive for about 2 minutes of actually scanning because they can't see a lot at that stage.

I had a private scan at 6w but I was ivf

Scans vary but usually about £60 so if you want one before 12w nhs one pay for private

If you just found out then I’d go by the guess that you are at least 4 weeks. Early scans are usually done after 6 weeks. I had one at 8 weeks with my second and third and highly recommend. It’s such a relief seeing the heart beating away. So going by the estimate that you’re 4 weeks, I’d give it another few weeks at least before you book a scan.

It's going to drag from now until them. Good luck, you'll have to let us know how far you are x

I recently had a private scan at 8 weeks. It was £65. I had a missed miscarriage in December so it was for peace of mind. It looked like a blob with a heartbeat but it was reassuring to see a heartbeat. Worth it for me.

I'm going to wait till 25th . But if anything changes I'll find a good place to get a scan x
