Implantation or ? I fell over last night :(

We have been trying for a baby, this month we both added supplements to trying. My ovulation date was the 16th March (6days ago). Last night I fell running out to the car and today when I woke I had brown blood when I wiped. I’ve never experienced implantation but had miscarriages in the past but when that happened the blood was bright red. My periods are not due until a week tomorrow. Been upset this morning as not sure what to think and can’t help thinking I’ve caused something with falling. When I landed, I landed hard on my side :( anyone experienced this or implantation? Huge apologies for the pic just not sure what to think :(

Implantation is usually brown blood exactly like this so I would go with this option! If a fall had done anything I assume you would bleed red blood? Try not to worry and if it is implantation (🤞🏽) then hcg should be detectable in 2/3 days so do a test then with FMU so you can be sure! Good luck x

Thank you! I called the doctors and seeing them soon. I’m praying it is implantation x

When I was pregnant with my first I had implantation bleeding. It was about 6 days before my period was due and very pale pink. So I mistook it for an early light period lol. If you've hurt yourself falling I'd think it would be red. Try not to worry....easier said than done I know x

Brown is old blood so it doesn’t suggest you have done anything when you fell. Everything is very well protected in there and the earliest you could implant is 6dpo do if you fell yesterday there was nothing to damage. Some people can also bleed a little from ovulation and as the blood looks quite old it could well be that too

Just been to the doctors, she wasn’t the most helpful. She said it would be too early to detect even after I asked for a blood test. By the time I got home the blood was heavier in my urine and there was a clot. I’m guessing it’s a miscarriage. I’ll still do the early detection test on Saturday morning but I think I know what it will say now 😔

Oh I’m sorry OP.
I miscarried recently, I really hope it’s not the case for you.
Look after yourself x

Twoinapod · 22/03/2023 20:20

If you are only 6dpo you may not even have implanted yet so it would be impossible to get any positive on a blood test as technically you wouldn’t be pregnant yet. It definitely would be too early to have a miscarriage especially with a clot. Did she check you over? If you’ve landed hard enough to cause bleeding I’d be more concerned about any damage.

Sorry to hear what your going through... just to put in another theory is there any chance this could just be your period coming a little earlier than expected?

I hope your okay op x

I thought this too, especially if op is now taking vitamins to conceive, I find vitamins can mess with cycle/ hormones

Bibijuju · 22/03/2023 21:40

OP - this could still be an implantation bleed as mine was like a period (red with clots)
I actually convinced myself it was a period and have bled a couple of times in early pregnancy, I would advise to do a test then repeat one a couple of days later to see if it gets stronger.

Not all vitamins mess with your cycle

I doubt that falling so early even if in the unlikely chance you had already implanted would be the cause of a miscarriage, they are very well protected in there and it would be so small you wouldn’t even see it. If your period isn’t due for another 8 days then it would be too early to have a miscarriage I would have thought as too early for implantation to even have completed. I know how horrible a miscarriage is (I’ve had 2) and I really hope that’s not what is happening/happens to you but it would be extremely unlikely to be caused by a fall so do not blame yourself in any way.

CC0311 · 02/04/2023 23:24

I really don’t know if it was an early period or a miscarriage. I’ve had miscarriages in the past and as soon as I seen the early bleed I panicked because of the fall. Guess I will never know if it was the vitamins affecting my cycle or the other thing however we are not giving up x

Sorry to hear this, I have experienced this in the past too. Sending love to you. Try to keep a positive mindset though on days where you feel it, that’s what I am doing x
