Hi all,

I'm 37+3 weeks... Today, the baby was been really active. It feels like he's constantly dragging his fingernails across my bladder (causing stabbing pains in my pelvis) and moving about causing some pain the ribs. I'm also getting quite a lot of BH. This LO has had quiet and active periods. Yesterday, he was rather quiet that I worried. Today, he's gone the other way... It's driving me nuts! The movements are not unusual (just more of them!) and he's still doig his regular hiccups at pretty much the same time. How much pain is normal? When do you call the midwife? I'm pretty sure it's just an active day but how do you know? Hubby is working away at the moment (Monday-Thursday) so I am just worried about when things start to happen!

Thanks!

Ax

I seem to remember mine went really quiet for the couple of days before they were born. But I do remember getting pains shooting down my legs and my youngest had regular hiccups too right up to the day before. Everything is pretty uncomfortable in the last couple of weeks but BH seem pretty mild once proper labour pains kick in! I'm sure your midwife wont mind if you ask for a check up to put your mind at rest.

Thanks Ecmo. I'm seeing the midwife this Friday. I am sure being at work at this stage (last week of work!) was not the best idea as I am finding it uncomfortable to stand up, sit down or do anything! I feel okay at the moment. This morning was rather painful! I will see how I feel tonight before deciding if I should try and see my midwife tomorrow. Thanks.
