Aching pain

Hello

Is it normal to have a constant uncomfortable achey pain around stomach during pregnancy?

I've just turnt 17 weeks- I'm in my second trimester

I have aching a lot, it will go away for a few days and come back. It feels like period pains. I’m 17+2 and although I’m worried, the midwife wasn’t x

I have this every few days, think it might be when my bump grows. I'm 18+3 weeks and have had since 8 weeks! I think its round ligament pound. The main thing that works is baths!

@Nik84 Ahh you're literally one day ahead of me- is your due date 27th august? Mine is 28th ☺️
I think it's normal after Googling it and asking people, it says beginning of second trimester it's a time where baby is doubling and growing! Probably explains why we ache! Xx

*ligament pain not pound! @emmaloubx I'm also trying to do stretches as much as possible but yes you are right my midwife said this can be the most uncomfortable time because of the baby moving up from the pubic bone so everything stretches to accommodate.

Yes I am basically having them every night! Enjoy. A friend of mine said in her pregnancy she'd lie on an electric blanket which I have not tried yet but may well do...

@AnotherStory23 yes I think it's where everything is stretching out and making room! Yes I may have a bath every night! I'm still so tired - everyone said I'd feel better in second trimester but again maybe this is a time to feel exhausted where things are happening like the growing! Xx

Ahh how funny- do you have any idea what you think you're having? We decided not to find out, I'm worried il see something at 20 week scan though ha xx

Yeah i may ask if they can turn screen off when around that area lol! My 20 week scans been booked in for the 13th April! Counting down days! Xxx

@emmaloubx mine is the 11th. Have you felt any movement yet? I haven’t, hoping I do soon so I know everything’s ok in there.

@Nik84 No I haven't either at all! I saw my midwife Saturday and she said it's normal and expect to feel some fluttering within the next few weeks! So just waiting ☺️ but we heard babies heartbeat so all was good! My placenta is at the front so I'm worried I won't feel much! Xx

I know it’s mad 😂 I’m aching too, so I’m expecting to be a bit bigger soon. That’s what usually happens, loads of worry followed by some growth and the aches easing.

@Nik84 I know so strange lol! Yes same, I've Started showing a little now! So there's 100% some growth going on! I just cannot stop weeing 😂 just feel so uncomfortable today! But I know will get better!

I felt gentle rolling on Saturday for the first time but nothing today or yesterday. My bump is also much smaller today so I think that the baby must be further back. Ache is a bit better but I’m getting awful round ligament pain on my long walk home from work 😫 Hope you’re doing ok! X

@Nik84 Ahh that's nice you felt a rolling feeling! I thought I felt something but I'm not 100% sure! Sure we will a lot more soon! Yes I don't ache anymore but I have this pulling ligament feeling on my lower tummy and cannot stop going for a wee lol. You should try get someone to pick you up from long walk from work or a bus! Hope you're ok! Not long til our scans now! Xx

It’s a 40 minute walk, I’m ok in the morning but the walk home is a killer. I teach in the afternoons so I’ve started to do it sat down to help a bit 😅 I’m roping my mum into picking me up soon. I’ve failed my driving test 4 times so given up for now 🫣

@Nik84 40 mins!! God i wouldn't be able to do it lol! Yeah defo try get your mum to get you! I just feel out of breathe quickly! Also don't give up on your driving test as I failed then passed on 4th time! Just keep going x

I’m glad I found this post.. im 16 weeks and 4 days and most days I feel some time of pain around my tummy! Today it’s bottom right hand side. Kind of ovary place maybe? It’s so stressful. But I guess everything is moving!
