Baby aspirin and sertraline? Anyone?

Hi everyone,

I have recently found out I am pregnant after a very recent miscarriage. I want to do everything I can to make sure I have a healthy baby.

I take sertraline for anxiety and depression and it is probably safer for me to just continue taking it as I don't feel ready to stop.

I would like to take 75mg aspirin to help prevent miscarriage however when reading about aspirin and sertraline together, it says bleeding risk?

Has anyone taken these two together in early pregnancy?

Thanks!

You should consult your GP regarding sertraline. There are small risks associated if you read about it but the GP will weigh up pros/cons and probably aim to have you on the safest dose for you and pregnancy.

Have you consulted your GP? X

@CurlyScot yes I consulted them today... I left a bit frustrated tbh.

He said 'well you've only had one miscarriage so until you've had a few recurrent ones, we don't recommend anything'

I asked him if I had three, would he be telling me to take it? And he basically said yes, along with other drugs too.

That's where I am a bit stuck! Because I didn't even think to ask about my sertraline because he was so against it
