"toothache" ache in my leg - am I just tired or should I worry/

Am 27 weeks pg, went to bed last night with achey legs but woke up at 2.30 with such a toochache in my leg ( can't describe it in any other way, yuou know that dull but constant thing). Mother helpfully says this morning, "you don't think it could be a thrombosis do you?" well I didn't until she mentioned it. Still there now

Hi, Ive had the same thing since I was 26 weeks (now 30). I was advised just to take lots of rest (easier said than done I know) and it realy does work.

I find its worse when I've been on my feet all day and then go home and relax. Only takes about an hour and it (right leg only) just aches and aches, next morning its gone though.

Speak to your midwife anyway.

I get that even when I'm not pregnant, a horrible achey throbbing on the insides of your legs that's enough to make you cry. It's just tiredness as far as I'm aware.

I was nearly in tears at 3am when I just couldn't get comfortable. It is a bit better this afternoon and I think I'll head off to bed at 8ish to see if that will make any difference. Good to know other people get it too

Try tonic water (schweppes, is best it's the quinine), a glass before you go to bed. it sounds mad, but a MW told me about it really worked with me.

I get this too, always have since as long as I can remember, used to make me cry. A constant achy throb. I used to find the best way was legs up in the air , cycling in the air quickly - obviously no help if you are pregnant, and hot water bottles, or pain killers. It has got better as I got into my 30's and only comes on rarely now. I always thought it was to do with circulation. I do have a lot of veins on my legs now though, thinking about it!

I have always had this too and toothache pain is exactly how I describe it. I used to get it a lot more when I was younger, from being a kid actually when it was put down to "growing pains". It happens if I've been doing an unusual amount of walking, standing or exercise. I've never been told it's anything to worry about and certainly no one's ever mentioned thrombosis to me! I'm 25 weeks pregnant and I'm now getting incredibly painful lower leg cramp...

A thrombosis pain is a usually a bursting type pain, worse on walking. Sounds like it's not that if the pain came on at night, but do keep an eye on it, look out for any swelling, and go to the docs if it gets worse.

thank you, lots better today so I guess it was just tiredness. I've started putting a pillow between my knees to sleep too and that seems to help. Only 13 more weeks and I can sleep on my front again - heaven
