Early Kicks have stopped :-(

Hi guys. I am 12w/4d with my second child. I have had a history if 3 losses prior to my daughter who was thankfully born healthy and happy in May 2021. Due to my history, I have horrendous miscarriage anxiety and I am constantly worrying about loss. Thankfully my daughter is a reassurance to know that my body can do it after the 3 m/c before her.

I started feeling movements for this baby very early, about 1 week ago- faint butterflies to start but some undeniable kicks and movements at about 11w/6d - 12w/2d.

I had my scan just 2 days ago on at 12/2 and all was fine. However I haven't felt my baby move literally since! Am I being paranoid? Is it to be expected for movements to come and go given how early Ive felt them? My anxiety has spiralled today and I don't want to be irrational by getting another scan only 2 days later if I'm expecting too much "consistency " from such early kicks.

Tia for any reassurance or advice you can share x

I don’t mean to burst any bubbles but baby is far too small to have felt movement that early. I know the feelings you mean though as I have been feeling them since around 4 weeks and I could put money on them being baby kicks if it wasn’t so early as that’s exactly how they feel. Unfortunately the hormones loosens all your digestive system up so everything moves a lot slower and you feel it all moving more intensely and also a lot more gas moving through your system. Along side all of that your uterus will be expanding slightly. Everything combined it absolutely does feel like baby movements. I’m sure you’ll be feeling those first flutters in the coming weeks though.

Midwives say to keep an eye on movements from 28 weeks and look for any changes in patterns. The first movements begin to be felt between 16 and 24 weeks.

Hiya I get how you would be concerned. I have had the same feeling of movements for the last 2 weeks(I'm 12 weeks now) I would nearly bet all the tea in China that they were kicks but they are too high up to be baby I think it's just everything moving around and adjusting, probably settles for a while the starts up again!
