Uti?

Hiya, wondering if anyone has experienced anything similar. I'm 11 weeks pregnant and have had mild uti symptoms for nearly 2 weeks. My urine showed mild Lucosytes ( ? Spelling) so was sent away and they found a mild strep b infection so gave me nitrofurantoin, after 5 days it hadn't improved so they swapped me to amoxicillin, it's now been 3 days of that and I still have symptoms. Nothing severe, no blood in urine or extreme pain, but need to go a lot & uncomfortable a few moments after urinating. I see my midwife tomorrow (Sunday) and will ring the doctors if no better by Monday but I'm really confused as to why I'm not seeing improvement - is this just another pregnancy symptom?

The urine culture showed the bacteria was susceptible to nitrofurantoin and amoxicillin so I feel like it really should've cleared?? Thanks xx

Just to mention. I am on cyclogest pessaries after 2 losses. I think this is what possibly caused the strep uti. I have swapped to inserting them rectally but still struggling with the uti symptoms. Thanks.

I had a UTI that I struggled to get rid of. I was not pregnant at the time though. Took 4 weeks and at least 3 lots of antibiotics might have been 4. Kefalaxin was the only thing that fixed it not sure if you can have that when pregnant. Have you tried drinking cranberry juice. After a bad UTI your bladder can be a bit irritated for a few weeks. Hope you feel better soon x

Thank you. Yes I've been drinking loads of water and cranberry juice. I've had them before but they normally clear up straight away however this seems to be lingering!
