Hey everyone, I'm currently 6+5 and I'm wondering about taking an early Gender blood test. I know you have to be 6 weeks to do it, so I'll probably wait another week and half, but has anyone used them, and if so which ones and where did you order? I was liking at the

Blue or Pink Early Gender Test

Has anyone used this company?

Thanks x

I did the sneak peek at home one at 8 weeks and it was correct. A lot of people get false boy results if they have boys or even male pets in the house if it gets contaminated. I couldn’t believe it when mine said girl after having a boy last time and all males (animals and humans) in my house but it was correct

sugarspices · 17/03/2023 23:00

There's a lot of room for contamination with the at home tests! If I were you I'd pay a bit more and have the test done at a clinic - I think the meet your miracle clinics do it!

NatGee · 17/03/2023 23:02

Still can't believe you can tell the gender from the mother's blood and this early! Will definitely get it done, just not sure when!

Gingerbreadmama · 18/03/2023 22:50

Thanks! I booked at a clinic today, early scan and test :D

How long do results take ?

DCxx · 19/03/2023 19:18

@Dimples27 i sent it away on the Friday night and I think the result came on the Monday. That was with sneak peek, it goes to America in that time

How long do results take ?

The one we're doing at the clinic is about 7 days, the home ones are a few days, but like others said more likely to be contamination

Came back last night! Having a girl!! Can't believe we know at 8 weeks!

Congratulations OP, I'm also expecting a girl 💕

Gingerbreadmama · 31/03/2023 22:00

@sugarspices yay! I'm so glad I did the one at the clinic so no contamination 😂 so happy for a little girl ♥️

DCxx · 31/03/2023 23:30

@Gingerbreadmama congrats! I don’t think a girl can be contaminated anyway as it shows the absence of male DNA so even an at home girl is most likely correct! Ours was right but the 16 week scan was strange as we already ‘knew’ but didn’t actually know properly so still had to have them tell us. I’m not sure how I would have reacted if they’d said boy when I’d been so sure it was a girl!

Gingerbreadmama · 31/03/2023 23:35

@DCxx thank you! Isn't it the most bizarre email to open 😂. I mentioned it to the midwife today and she was very hmm at me 😂😂. The younger midwife was very intrigued. I was quite surprised at the reaction as I'm sure the NHS sometimes do this kinda testing early on for people who are high risk at carrying a genetic disease that is only present in a certain gender.

DCxx · 01/04/2023 00:14

@Gingerbreadmama yes I’ve never mentioned it to the midwife and just kidded on I didn’t know yet as I know they’d probably have something to say. The same with the private scans even, they don’t seem to approve of them either

Gingerbreadmama · 01/04/2023 00:23

@DCxx yes!! She didn't say anything when I said we'd had a scan, I said was only tiny but we saw our little blob and heartbeat, and she just ignored me 🙄. I feel so much better from having that scan, it's brought my anxiety right down, which is obviously good for us! It doesn't hurt no one so I don't see the problem!

Hi, have you done yours with blue or pink clinic or sneek peak??

Gingerbreadmama · 09/05/2023 19:48

@Chocolats sneakpeek and at the clinic to avoid contamination. If you search online there are independent medical journals on the sneakpeek technology, and it's all good. If you look at reviews online from individuals it will like mix clinic and at home tests into the same reviews, which are two totally different things. Read the medical journals instead :)

@Gingerbreadmama Thanks for your reply, I have done blue or pink in the clinic at 8 weeks 3 days I got a girl result but I couldn't trust them because I heard that they gave wring girl results before and also they are not known so there is no reviews about them accept few in this forum. I am a bit confused now specially I have a strong feeling that I am carrying a boy.

Yellowjackey · 09/05/2023 22:42

where did you find a clinic that does sneak peek please? Looking on their website I can only see the home testing kits :)

How long did yours take?? I did mine Friday and still waiting! getting eager haha!

Gingerbreadmama · 16/05/2023 22:48

@Ellbellx we did ours on a Saturday morning and we got it the Thursday I think! You get an email and it'll say they've received your sample, and what time that day to expect the results. I got the first email at 8pm and it said the time I'd receive would be between 12am-4am our time, but we got it at 11.30pm. It's a little video, so open it and don't scroll down, let it load 😂😂😂. Did you do it at a clinic?

Gingerbreadmama · 21/06/2023 21:08

Just an update, had my scan and she's a girl, just like the blood test said!
Just a note that I did have my test done at a clinic not a home kit x
