Pregnancy
Is this a positive test??
chloe3103 · 17/03/2023 15:31
Hi there,
I am currently 11DPO and I’ve been testing for pregnancy like a mad woman but today is the first day I’ve actually seen something.
My partner and I are convinced we saw a line but it disappeared after 10 minutes.
Does anyone else see it?

Fox01 · 17/03/2023 15:37
Do you have a more focused picture? Clear blue are known to have indents. Keep testing over the next few days
TMI2000 · 17/03/2023 15:41
I see a verrrryy faint line, I had this with my last pregnancy and couldn't see anything once it dried, I advise to test again in the morning!
Fingers crossed for you lovely!
chloe3103 · 17/03/2023 15:56
unfortunately this is the only pic I have but I put a filter on it to see it a bit better

chloe3103 · 17/03/2023 15:57
thank you so much! I’ve spent the last hour searching up evaporation lines because I’m scared it could be that but they all say that evaporation lines don’t disappear + the fact the line I can see is straight down the middle makes me question if it is an evaporation line

You should read the test within the timeframe stated in the instructions, an evaporation line will appear if the result is read outside of the timeframe.
chloe3103 · 17/03/2023 18:28
Yes I did it within the time frame. After the time frame and it dried the line disappeared. If it was an evaporation line it wouldn’t have disappeared
TMI2000 · 17/03/2023 19:07
Also, I got my strongest early positive on a FRER if that helps
Twoinapod · 17/03/2023 19:36
A positive line doesn’t disappear, they tend to get darker as they dry but definitely don’t disappear. When the urine is moving across the test it can carry some dye with it which is what I think has happened here. Sorry but if it disappeared then it’s a negative. It doesn’t mean you are out though as it’s still early. Get a frer as they’re most sensitive or at least an early pink dye test like boots own early result. Clear blue are well known for having issues unfortunately
Katiec1 · 17/03/2023 19:49
This was my faint line on a CB at 13DPO (Sunday gone) and that line hasn’t disappeared off it, in fact it hasn’t changed at all.
Id say give it a couple of more days and do another to be sure.
fingers crossed for you x

chloe3103 · 17/03/2023 19:56
I don’t think that’s the case, thanks though.
The dye moves along while the result is processing. Once I checked the test the dye had stopped moving. It’s such a faint line that it could only be seen at certain angles and in certain lighting. Because I’m only 11DPO I knew the chances of getting a positive are low but because my Hcg levels are so low this early on, I read that a very weak positive can disappear from a test once it dries.
chloe3103 · 17/03/2023 19:59
Congratulations! Your faint line is much darker than mine.
Mine was a weak positive which I read online can definitely disappear. There’s lots of situations like that people have reported so here’s hoping
Twoinapod · 17/03/2023 20:09
@chloe3103 it sounds like your going to believe what you want to believe which is absolutely fine but may lead to false hope. There’s a mark on the test but it doesn’t look like a solid line like a positive should, it’s got a smudge around it. As I said blue dye tests are notoriously unreliable though. Try again tomorrow it is still very early, some people don’t even implant until 12dpo.I got mine at 11dpo and although very faint definitely didn’t disappear. Best of luck.
chloe3103 · 17/03/2023 20:16
I mean I’ve come on here for advice and the general verdict is we can see a faint positive.
One lady even saying the same thing happened for her and she was pregnant. I’m not saying it’s definitely a faint positive. I will know more on Sunday and then again when I get a blood test on Thursday.
However, you have come on here saying weak positive lines can’t disappear which they absolutely can and this is backed up with science and medical research.
There is a solid line on the test and it’s straight down the middle which an evaporation line or a faulty line would not do.
Everyones hcg levels are different. You most likely had a higher hcg level than me at 11DPO which is why your line didn’t disappear. But I know what I saw and unfortunately the photos couldn’t capture it well enough. Thanks though
TMI2000 · 17/03/2023 21:07
@chloe3103 @Twoinapod yeah that’s me, I had pretty much the exact same thing when I was pregnant in January, tested on a clear blue and it was a V V V faint positive like very hard to see and once it dried it was even harder! I’ve put a photo on. The next morning I got a more definitive line. Unfortunately I did mc at 8 weeks but it is possible that it’s positive!

chloe3103 · 17/03/2023 21:15
Thank you for this! Makes me feel better and not like I’m seeing things
but I am so sorry :(
FlyingHighFlyingLow · 17/03/2023 21:18
This is me today at 10 dpo so I'm in the same boat. Just got to wait and see if its darker in a couple days!

chloe3103 · 17/03/2023 21:32
It looks so promising!! My fingers are crossed for the both of us 🤞🏼
LillyJames93 · 18/03/2023 00:34
I feel your pain, the not knowing is horrible!
This is my clear blue one which I took this morning. Took both photos within 3 mins of taking the test. Since getting home from work the clear blue is now negative- the line has completely gone!
The pink dye is still there but faint!!
Did you take another by any chance? Xx

chloe3103 · 18/03/2023 00:49
Omg it’s so frustrating isn’t it!!
It’s so strange that the line disappears though because you stare at it for ages just to make sure you aren’t imagining it only to find it disappeared
I’m waiting until Sunday to take another test as I tried this evening but think my wee was too diluted as there was not a sign of a positive line
How many days post ovulation are you? xx
LillyJames93 · 18/03/2023 04:32
10dpo when the tests were taken. Took another after work. Read it within the 10mins but it’s so thin I’m now questioning is it an indent?!
Off to buy more tests tomorrow.
Keep us updated on how your getting on and good luck!!

TMI2000 · 18/03/2023 07:13
@chloe3103 Aw thank you lovely! I’ve just found out I’m pregnant again so all good! ❤️
FlyingHighFlyingLow · 18/03/2023 18:49
Mine today, DH thinks its maybe a little darker but I'm not so sure, 11 dpo.
