Hi all, new user long time lurker.
TTC baby #2 and we tried 2 days before my fertile window (which has started today) and will try tomorrow which will be the second day of my fertile window.
Is it weird that 5 or 6 hours after we had sex that I felt pregnancy symptoms- lower back ache and cramps and during the night got a bit sweaty like I do when my period is due.
Is it just my brain/body playing tricks on me because it knows its what we want or was it just because I did 2 lots of yoga lol.

According to the Flo app I ovulate in 4 days but what are my chances we have conceived already?

There is zero chance of you having symptoms due to pregnancy. Implantation takes 6-12 days and then it takes a few days for hcg to rise enough to cause symptoms at which point it is also strong enough to show up on a test. You may have ovulated wary which could be the cramping you felt but it’s more likely your just hypersensitive to every little twinge as your TTC

There's no way you can feel symptoms 5-6 hrs after trying. Just no way.

From the sounds of it you haven't even ovulated yet, and even if you have ovulated today it takes about 4 days for the egg to travel down the Fallopian tube, and then as PP said earliest implantation is 6DPO and then a few more days for HCG to rise enough to give any symptoms.

It would be great if you could know a few hours after sex but it just doesn't work that way!

Have you thought about ovulation tests? It's just apps aren't always the most reliable for knowing when's best to conceive.

I was just about to say if you want to know when you ovulate then ovulation tests will be a better indicator. Otherwise it’s estimating and guessing.

Conception happens within 24 hours after ovulation so if you’re not even due to ovulate for 4 days then there’s no way you’ve conceived yet. Conceptions isn’t when you have unprotected sex it’s when the spark fertilises the egg which doesn’t happen until you have actually ovulated. Then it takes at least 6 days after ovulation (more likely 8+ days) for the egg to implant and pregnancy symptoms won’t happen until after this.

conception not conceptions and sperm not spark 😂 🤦🏻‍♀️

They say sperm lives up to 5 days so you’re fertile 5 days before ovulation. You aren’t actually pregnant until you implant which is at least 6 days after ovulation. But yes if you have unprotected sex in your fertile time (which is the 4/5 days leading up to ovulation and ovulation itself and sometimes the day after) then you could become pregnant a week or so after ovulation. You would never have pregnancy symptoms right after sex even if you was ovulating that day.

your body will play tricks on you. When I was ttc I had never had so many pregnancy symptoms! When I did get pregnant though I had given up symptom spotting and didn’t have any noticeable symptoms until a few days after AF was due. Then man did I have symptoms 😂
