Hi everyone. Just wondering if anyone has had a similar situation. I'm currently 35weeks and 3 days pregnant. When I was 34 weeks I had to go to triage as I was experiencing regular pains. They did an ffn test and it came back positive (I'm aware they aren't 100% reliable), had protein in urine so ended up being admitted due to gestation and I've got to have a csection so they don't want me to be at home and go into labour.
I was in for 2 nights and was allowed home, told to monitor pains etc. Anyway spent 2 nights at home and end up back in for another night due to swelling, high blood pressure, headache and some visual disturbances (I had pre-eclampsia with my eldest at the very end of pregnancy!) So was a little alarmed. They did urine, bloods etc and all came back fine. The only thing that shown was that my pcr markers were slightly raised so was informed that I could be seeing pre-eclampsia again. I've been put on BP medication as they believe it to be gestational hypertension but can't rule out pre-eclampsia being around the corner. I have to go to hospital twice a week for bloods, urine and BP (which I check my BP at home daily anyway!)
Has anyone ever had anything like this and everything has been OK? They want to get me to my section date (ill be 39 weeks 4 days) but I don't think that's a good idea and believe it should be brought forward slightly in the interests of myself and the baby. Has anyone had any experience?

Sorry for the long winded post x

Hi OP,

Sort of a similar experience, however I am being induced tomorrow (39+2). Everything has been fine in my pregnancy up until 36 weeks. I had to go to triage and had +2 protein in my urine and high blood pressure. Sent the urine off but came back as normal numerous times. They said could be either gestational hypotension or pre-eclampsia, however it is being treated as gestational hypotension as I've had no visual disturbances and the protein seems to have calmed down. They've put me on blood pressure meds also. They said would be ideal to deliver from 39 weeks because of the hypotension, hence why I'm going in tomorrow. I've honestly been fine since I've been on the blood pressure meds, but I've obviously never experienced pre-eclampsia like you have. I am suprised They wouldn't try and book you in sooner.

However, since you'll be in the hospital twice a week for checks, your section date can be moved if needs be xxx
