Placenta previa - how likely to happen again?

Hello
can anyone give me some advice about the likelihood of another placenta previa if I get pregnant again? I had placenta previa with my first pregnancy and because I kept bleeding my daughter was delivered at 37 weeks by c-section (Jan 07). Several of the medical staff said it was unlikely to happen again and it was just 'one of those things' but i have since read that pp's are more likely if you've had previous "womb trauma", and I did have a missed miscarriage 2 years earlier which had to be sorted out by a D&C. So as I've had a D&C, one pp already and the c-section is it likely to happen again? Also, could I request a c-section if I got pregnant again?

Thanks in advance!
Polly

Hi, my friend had placenta previa and this caused her baby to be born at 25 weeks. She became pg 2 months later and had no problems with this whatsoever. She had a C section both times.
