Hi, I'm 10+5 and have what I think must be PGP. I had a uti and thought it had got worse but doctors said dip test was now clear. He said the pain I have is probably pelvic related from the pregnancy. I'm only (nearly) 11 weeks and in agony. Any advice welcome. My whole pelvis/hips/back hurts. I'm taking paracetamol but don't like doing this (especially as I'm on antibiotics for uti too!) I'm also feeling so much more sick than I have been - not sure if that's just hormones still raising or from the pain.

thanks so much. xXx

It's likely to be because of the hormone changes in your body. I would find yourself an osteopath or a women's physio asap as you don't want it to worsen.

Do you have a history of back or pelvic pain? Maybe an old injury etc? Pregnancy will exacerbate these things.

@breakfastbagel thanks for your reply. Yes I slipped a disk a while back and think that may be the cause. I'll definitely look at seeing someone for my back. Thanks.

Bingo, at least you have a starting point for treatment/recovery.

For relief in the meantime, warm things and you could use a birth ball to sit on or lean over, whatever feels comfortable.

Hi that sounds awful for you, I’m sorry. I used a women’s health physio when I was experiencing pain in my last pregnancy who was really good. I also found floating in the bath good to relieve the pain. But if you have a long standing back issue/you aren’t well with a urine infection I’d get the gp to do a physical assessment of your back/pelvis hips and then if they think it’s that they can refer you, just in case it isn’t that.
