Hello...following a recent blood test showing j had really low levels of vitamin D i was prescribed a really high dose of vitamin D supplements - 20,000IU (500ug) twice a week for 7 weeks.
DH and I are also TTC and time is not on our side. However I didn't realise that the very high dose of vitamins could possibly be dangerous? Does anyone know if I should be stopping TTC while taking them? I can of course ask the doctor but I'm right in the middle of my fertile week is right now and only just noticed this could be an issue and I'm now worried I've already taken a huge risk!

I took vitamin d to help get pregnant, I think mine was 5000iu a day.

Having low vitamin D is more of a problem when TTC.

High dose is not going to be dangerous if you are very low, I imagine they will retest you after 7 weeks so it sounds very well controlled. Don't worry.

@breakfastbagel - thank you! Feel better already. You are right...having low levels wasn't exactly going to help with ttc
