Did you get pregnant with stage 4 deep infiltrating endometriosis? 🙁

Long story short, after years of infertility and failed IVF we have finally found out I have advanced, complex endometriosis, mainly around the bowel. And, all my organs are glued to each other with adhesions.

I am on a waiting list for excision surgery but in the meantime is there any point at all in TTC naturally? I feel so fed up about it all.

Just wondering if there is any chance at all or should we not bother not get our hopes up?

Oh and I also have adenomyosis as the cherry on top!

My Endo was exactly the same as yours - I never TTC pre surgery, but after excision surgery, I got pregnant first month of trying. Had an early miscarriage but then got pregnant the month after and in last trimester with that pregnancy. So extremely possible after surgery, wishing you all the luck x

Thank you, unfortunately it's going to be a good few months indeed until my surgery so I'm just wondering if there's any hope at all of conceiving naturally beforehand?

Fellow stage 4 endometriosis here!
I had surgery back in 2015 and then managed with diet and more recently exercise. No more surgeries since.
Prior to that I was on the pill but it made things so much worse so stopped. My husband and I conceived naturally and unexpectedly - we weren’t trying! it’s definitely possible!!

@NurseMum1stTimer how did you manage with diet? What sort of things did you stop / start eating .I'm also a fellow stage 4er with Endo/Adeno Had it removed in 2021, but my ovaries are behind my uterus, also had a failed IVF since then.
@LolaGarden @NurseMum1stTimer Can I ask your ages as I'm 41 so I have that to contend with as well :(

I had what you describe. I had surgery too a few years ago and conceived naturally last year. Took a year to conceive.

My surgery went well and I have been out of medical menopause for two months. We are trying naturally but I too am over 40 now. Good luck all 🌺

I've just stumbled across this thread, quite randomly... I got a positive pregnancy test a week to the day after my last post :)
