Feeling neglected and alone

Has anyone felt neglected and alone during their pregnancy journey? This is my 3rd pregnancy and I feel the midwives are just not bothered. They withhold information from me and I literally have to find out details for myself. I had my first 2 in another city, so this third seem a whole new experience for me. Not knowing where to go and who to contact 😔

do you have a partner/family to lean on for support?

@Mommsie sorry youre feeling this way, no expectant mother should be going through the same. you must give consent to anything that is done to or about you so you really need to not know, but also understand. like the previous poster said, perhaps you need someone to advocate for you, is there someone you can bring with you? I personally am interviewing doulas as I will be having my first and want to understand everything really well so I can give informed consent.

@Sparklesocks after my first midwife appointment, a dating scan was to be booked for me and I was to receive a letter confirming that. No letter, nothing. I had to call to find out the date of the scan and even on the day of the scan I still hadn't received my letter and I had call again for location of the scan. I'm now here wondering what I am missing as there's any form of communication from them.

@NatGee at the moment I don't. I'm being really sick with this pregnancy and unable to do much for myself. I've asked my husband to focus on my other two as they're still young and need help with lots of things. Hopefully with time I'd know who to speak with regards to all these treatments.
